(upbeat music)

- You said you'd love me forever.

this one blew my mind even from, like, looking

at her super, super close up.

Can you tell me how you did the sewing, the patchwork?

- There is a company called Out of Kit Effects

and what we did is they had pre-made prosthetics

that were for autopsies.

So what we ended up doing is buying probably like 15 of them

and patching them together.

We replaced a suture stitches with embroidery thread

and we went in with tweezers

and hand replaced every single stitch

onto their face. - Wow.

- Oh, that's so cool.

Oh my God, the stitching.

- These were great prosthetics

because they are almost like a sticker,

so they have a clear film on the back.

You remove, you lay them down onto the skin very carefully

and then you blend the edges with acetone.

Vanessa provided us some buttons and knickknacks

to tie into her costuming

and she had provided the mittens.

- [Tamar] The mittens were awesome.

They were like pretty big

and filled with cotton. - Yeah.

Canvas and cotton. - Yeah.

- Hi, (laughs) it's so soft.

- [Alex] The wig was actually constructed out of a cap

and then knitting yarn and...

'Cause we couldn't size it to the actress,

we glued the rest of the hairline into it with the yarn.

- [Tamar] The contacts and the wig looked amazing.

It was just such a cohesive look without this kind of really

big prosthetic change. - Right.

- I belong to Vic.

They left me at their home in Canada

and now I'm back for revenge.

(energetic music)

- Right away, her pitch was to be Vic's old doll

that's come back to kind of haunt Vic.

- I hate that.

- Shout out to the camera and lighting department actually.

'Cause Santi and his team,

they pitched an idea to turn off the lights

and again, it's like not only is this improv for the actors,

but it's improv for the entire crew.

We have everyone working together so quickly

to do a whole different lighting setup

and then camera kind of moving around

and following your actors and everything.

- I'm coming for you.

- [Alex] Our incredible series editor Eve quickly leaned

into the horror element.

She played with added lighting.

- Now you find me.

(kid laughs)

- [Alex] Color changes.

- There are a few bodies under the floorboards here.
