we contacted a taxi for her to go to her residence,

and the taxi cab driver is now in correspondence with Glascock,

and he said that she's wanting to come back down

to the Strip to be dropped off.

So he's calling the taxi cab driver to rectify that issue

and tell him to take her home.

- So right now, I'm watching traffic

and what I'm looking for is probable cause

for a traffic stop and see if there's anything going on

And he's got a tail light out.

It's gonna be on a maroon Nissan truck.

Occupied once.

So I noticed this truck traveling on Highway 42

going towards our city limits.

Generally, I pay attention to vehicles

that are on this highway even more than normal

because we have a pretty, pretty bad drug problem

in the Lake area, not just our city.

And Highway 42 seems to be where a lot

of that problem is coming from.

Good evening, sir, my name is Corporal Riner.

I work with the Osage Beach Police Department.

You got stopped for two reasons tonight, man.

One, your plate light's out.

That's what drew my attention to you.

And second, your driver's side tail light on top half's out.

Due to our small department in kind of a big little city,

we do everything from working the highway,

traffic stops, homicide investigation,

DWIs, even animal control.

In Osage Beach, we are animal control, the police are.

So we put the dog in our vehicle.

Hope it doesn't cast bodily fluids everywhere,

and we take it to our own little kennel that we have.

Because I didn't realize that he broke it on purpose

so he could stab that guy with it.

'cause he told me that I owed him that,

And we started arguing back and forth.

And then we split ways and that was it.

- So if he stole your ID and your wallet and your phone,

you don't wanna press charges?

I think a lot of the details

have been lost in the alcohol tonight.

The suspect, we're gonna go ahead

and probably take him with us for the night.

At least book him in and issue a summons

maybe for fighting in public and potentially a couple

of other things after we sort it all out.

- Officer Carson requested an additional unit.

She's on a traffic stop over

at the School of the Osage right now.

So we're going to go back her up.

I'm Officer Carson with Osage Beach Police Department.

Reason I stopped you is you were really struggling

to stay in your lane.

Knives, weapons, anything like that I would find?

- He was swerving hard when he's driving,

he's going straight, and then he yanks really hard, sharply.

Came out of his lane multiple times.

So I did a stop on him.

And when I got up here, I could smell the alcohol in him.

Pretty harsh.

- Carson has enough to believe

that this male individual is driving while intoxicated.

So she arrested him for DWI.

[tense music]

So he's got open container.

It's still got condensation and it's very cold to the touch.

It didn't take a genius to figure this one out.

- We can just photograph it.

I couldn't do HGN on him.

He also told me that in the car he had had three DWIs prior.

And then when we were standing up there, he said five.

There was no way I was gonna be able to do onset.

- Hi-Tech's showing up on scene.

They're gonna tow his vehicle.

Judging by this, what this individual

has told Officer Carson,

he might have multiple DWIs on his record.

So he might be getting a 24-hour hold for Officer Carson

to submit a probable cause statement

to Miller County prosecutor.

And at that point, the prosecutor

will decide what to do with him.

- He said he rear-ended somebody,

and they don't know where they went.

Possibly three vehicles, but...

and is gonna be working the accident.

They asked for us to direct traffic, which,

what's gonna happen is I'm gonna leave Officer Johnson here,

and then we're gonna be heading back to the Strip

because Corporal Huff is there by himself,

and they got enough people here to work this.

So I talked to the owner of the establishment

'cause he was the one that separated 'em.

Sounds like the subject got into some sort

of verbal altercation with somebody playing pool.

They broke it up.

As they were separating 'em, he threw a punch.

It's unknown if he struck anybody or not.
