Last night of Tequila. I gotta kill it.

It's definitely an end of an era.

I don't think we'll ever see a club like this ever.

Just not enough in the account.

It's created a lot of tension between us as partners.

The stress definitely comes home with me.

Financially it's scary. We could lose everything.

He says he's gonna come to my gym and deal with me.

The place just wasn't making money,

so we decided to end Tequila.

So this has caused a lot of stress and I'm happy to let go.

-The last night at Tequila. -End of an era.

But at the same time we have that aura of relief

that it's almost over.

Seeing the club close is bittersweet.

It's nice to see the closure.

It's scary, but it's nice to bring on a fresh start.

Tequila closing, it's definitely an end of an era.

I don't think we'll ever see a club like this ever.

There's a couple new leaks, a couple old ones.

So I'm just putting out bus tubs and trying to control the situation.

Tequila roof is absolutely wonderful.

It just leaks in certain places

so we can catch it all with garbage cans. It's perfect.

Flat roofs don't belong in Saskatchewan.

I've been dealing with it for 18 years.

Just a lake up here.

You gotta maintain them so much here.

I shouldn't be running the business anymore.

It's too trying on us. The stress comes home with me.

I'm a dad. I wanna be at home with the kids.

So we gotta back off.

Last week we made the final decision to let the staff know.

There will be no more Tequila.

We'll be closing our doors.

For me, I know I'm not gonna be getting those phone calls

that we need 17,000 dollars by 5:00 to keep payroll from bouncing.

I don't think cheques will be in until later today,

but try coming back later tonight.

I've got 25 minutes to get to the bank

or else my paycheques will bounce, so I have to go do a deposit.

My wife and I loan anywhere from 15,000 to 30,000 dollars a month

to keep the doors open at Tequila.

This is starting to become a little overwhelming.

It's created a lot of tension between us as partners.

Stress is high.

So right now, we've got some people that are interested in buying Tequila.

They wanna change into a new nightclub business.

Walked underneath it and it poured on me,

that's when I noticed.

The roof caved in.

The drywall got saturated with water and gave way.

Well, you guys should fix that before it falls.

If I had a buyer, I'd sell now.

If I had a buyer right now,

but someone isn't gonna buy it this way.

Well the reaction to the closing of Tequila

on social media has been huge.

I'm excited that the final weekend's coming up.

It's been a long time coming.

It's gonna be a big change.

Firing an email off or doing social media's fine,

but when you go out and actually hand an invite to someone

they're gonna really try and commit to that.

-It's our last weekend, so hopefully... -What do you mean last weekend?

I think it's a surprise to everyone that Tequila's is shutting down.

It's even a surprise to us.

For the final night I'm doing the last minute preparations

as far as putting the room together,

getting the food ready.

I'm making a cake for tonight, for Chunk.

So he can throw it in someone's face.

I am nervous.

A lot of work and preparation to put into a big final weekend.

You always want things to turn out the best they can.

I think it would look better.

My husband wants more balloons,

so I had to go get another canister and put up some more balloons.

I just want people to remember Tequila the way it used to be.

We probably put on 50 big shows flying in DJs

from all over the world.

I'm happy to see the end is near,

but I will miss being in the middle of all the action

and the parties and hosting this place.

Mitch, you gotta get up and go to work.

Mitch's last day has finally come.

Now we can set goals and focus on new things.

is gonna get off this emotional roller coaster.

We were all friends when we started

and I didn't wanna go out losing any friends even with the hard times we had.

Since 1998 I've had 30 or more employees constantly.

That's a lot of stress.

More stress come from your employees than your business, ever.

The work ethic isn't here now.

The headache with dealing with a lot of the young staff

is making me bang my head a little bit too hard these days.

The bartender hasn't even done an inventory,

her liquor counts of everything.

Completely unacceptable to me.

I can come in here tomorrow with a sledgehammer

and destroy the place.

This has caused a lot of stress and I'm happy to let go.

She asked me to grab you.

Some people just like to leave their mark on a big event.

But I, for a second, thought

that we wouldn't have any incidents.

I truly believe that we, as bouncers, have prevented

a lot of bad things from happening by intervening.

When I think back to all the belligerent

and unacceptable behaviour that has caused me

to kick people out of this bar,

I've become convinced that alcohol turns people into wild animals.

It was a bit of a rocky start to the night,

but everything ended up pretty good and we had a really good time.

I think it's legal for us to party all night.

I just don't think we can serve booze all night.

So three quarters of the way through the night

and we're playing music, and Simon had come up

and he grabbed the microphone and he had no idea

what song we were playing, what we were about to do.

When I saw him put the mike to his mouth,

I quickly flicked it off.

Tequila.

Myron looked at me, started laughing,

and he kept trying to make an announcement

in front of a microphone while everyone's watching,

but he's just got dead air.

And he starts talking,

and everyone's looking at him like, guy, what are you doing?

Come on, man.

I wanna say, you drink up.

It was pretty clear that Simon was not impressed whatsoever.

He didn't see it as funny as we definitely did, that's for sure.

I've always called Simon "Uncle Greek"

and he's been looking for that anti-Greek for, well,

as long as I've known him.

I don't know if he'll ever find the right girl,

but he's definitely in the right place to find girls.

It takes a real woman to be able to handle the other gals

and my staff in the club.

Oh, this is gonna be trouble.

It's a tough life. Club life is a tough life.

People were getting sentimental and soft throughout the night.

And we were remembering all the good party nights that we had.

Overall everybody was in a great mood.

Chunk and I have been through thick and thin together.

I gotta new beginning coming myself,

so who knows where Chunk and I will end up.

I'll be with him somewhere.

Oh, she's gonna do it again.

The girls didn't get the most comfortable shoes.

Spent about 14 hours dancing in the last two days.

They gave us everything and they're still smiling.

After the bar closed, it was time for us

to have our own little party and our own goodbyes.

My wife baked me a big cake,

but it wasn't a diet cake and I'm on a diet right now

so I didn't get a chance to really enjoy it.

-You got a little something. -Oh, you're a jerk.

You like cake, eat it.

I got him, I got him. There's no escape.

I thought the staff should enjoy it.

It's always tough.

You're letting people go. These people have had jobs,

and this is a reality check for them too.

They'll be unemployed, so I thought they could enjoy cake.

And they enjoyed it a little bit, to a point of a cake fight.

Who the fuck the pigs?

Who knows what will happen?

I mean, Chunk gave me an amazing opportunity

and, you know, a first heart to heart with him basically

telling him I appreciate him bringing me into the industry,

and I'm a part of his family.

It's been a roller coaster, and you know, the up time was epic,

but the down time was probably the hardest working

and the most stressful and it taught us a lot.

We love you, Chunk.

I'm going to bed. Gonna have a good sleep.

So shut my phone off and I'm gonna have a lazy day

with my boys tomorrow and just relax.

We're gonna make a trip to Southern California.

It's been 18 years since we've had a vacation

without a club or work.

It's really nice having Chunk home with the family.

It feels really good.

He's relaxed and just happy and it's nice to see that.

It's been a long time coming.

This business doesn't allow you to get much home time.

It doesn't get much vacation time.

We hope that while we're gone,

none of it burns down on us kind of thing, you know?

I don't believe we're actually leaving yet, but it feels good.

It feels really good.

We're gonna get a retired licence plate.

Since Tequila ended, it's been a bit of a culture shock.

Now I have to try and become a morning person again.

Things are kinda booming and banging here

and going really well.

So, that's really exciting for me.

What's next for me is peace.

Basically quiet.

I wanna get myself healthy, get in great shape.

My liver will probably be very happy.
