the cap opened up like a vortex,
and I walked into it.

It became a magical force.

As his dreadlocks cascaded
over his shoulders,

a piece of Dorito chip
emerged. Disgusting.

And I wanna go in your
imagination much like that

As a magician, you see
a lot of card tricks.

And I thought instead of doing

the regular card trick, you
know, pick a card, I found it,

I wanna do the world's most
interesting card trick.

You see, most card tricks
have a beginning and an end.

What's interesting
about this card trick

is the end already happened.

The end has ended before
the beginning begun.

What's your name?

- Alyssa.

- Alyssa, you're
gonna pick a card,

but it doesn't matter
'cause I already found it.

So Alyssa, I don't even
have a normal deck of cards

because it's the world's
most interesting card trick.

I have a deck made
up of pieces of paper

that have different
celebrity names on it.

You can see we have Margo
Robbie, Daniel Radcliffe,

Harry Potter, Albert
Einstein, Ed Sheeran.

(audience laughing)

And, yeah, there's
like 50 or so.

I'm just gonna have you
choose one of these.

So go ahead, just take one out.

And I want you to hide it
so I can't see it, okay?

And just hold onto it.

And this is where it's
gonna get interesting

because you chose
that name, yes?

The trick's over now because
that was the beginning.

The end already happened.

Well, before you
chose that card,

I took a photo of

put it inside an envelope,

put that envelope
inside this notebook,

and that photo of that

And there's a drawing
of an envelope, right?

And it's really not their fault

'cause we took that class
out of school for them

to learn those things.

So I wanted to illustrate that.

Today, we are going to do

the world's smallest
load of laundry.

Now, Nicolette, I don't
wanna put you on the spot,

but do you do your own laundry?

- Yes, I do.
- And Anthony?

- You do your own as well.

Now there might be
somebody out here who's

sitting who does
not, and that's okay.

If you don't know how to do it,

I'm gonna teach you how to do it

and you'll be able to go
home and do your own laundry.

What I brought with me
here is two very fun pairs

of dress socks.

And I also have
this laundry basket.

Anthony, that's for you.

Make sure there's no tigers,

All you do is just unpin that.

I'm of course talking about the

the dryer and you find money,

It almost proves the
existence of some sort

of sock fairy, right?

Yeah.

Nicolette, here's
what we're gonna do.

We're gonna fold this bag down.

I don't know if you have
one of those top load

washing machine or dryers.

Yeah?

Now, have you ever washed
an entire load of laundry?

- [Nicolette] Yes.

- Washed it like from up top?

- Oh, no.

- I didn't have a lot of friends
in high school, Nicolette.

after you throw your clothes in,

there's one more
thing you have to add,

The soap, that's right.

Nicolette, your

And I want you to pour that in.

And I forgot to mention,

sound effects really

kind of get in the zone on this.

So when you put that soap in,

And then usually you
said you're not sitting

there looking at the
laundry the whole

time as it goes, right?

and that signals it's done.

That's when I know it's done.

Here's something else you
may not have known, Grace,

and that is that
an ordinary pack

of 52 playing cards
measures exactly

one half of an inch thick.

52 cards, one half inch.

Fascinating, isn't it?

If I were to place Grace's
card at the 26th position,

exactly halfway down,

that means that her card

would be one quarter of
an inch from the top,

one quarter of an inch from
the bottom of the deck.

You might wanna
remember some of this.

It could be important later.

right-handed or left-handed?

I was hoping you'd say that.

I want you to hold the deck

of cards in your right hand

and I want you to hold
the cards over your heart,

just like that,

but leaving me as large

In your left hand, I want you

to hold on to this tape measure.

Look at this.

Some idiot left their pen

Now, by using that
tape measure, Grace,

I have measured the distance
from the end of this string

to the tip of that arrow.

And I can tell you that it
measures exactly 10 feet.

Now, in just a moment,

I'm going to position
myself one quarter an inch,

less than 10 feet from
that pack of cards.

I will then fire this poison
tipped arrow into the air.

It will flash across the stage,

it will strike the
pack dead center.

The needle-like
point will cut a path

through the top 25 cards.

And when it reaches the
26th card, Grace's card,

the arrow will have
reached the end of its line

and stop dead.

that I would be a fool

to even attempt it if I had

Hold out your hand
just like this.

Now I need you to make sure that

that rubber band is in
fact completely real.

Is it real?

- Yes it is.

- Do you know how to make sure
a rubber band is real, Harry?

- Stretch it?

- Yes, absolutely.

You stretch it in different
ways, just like this, Abrielle,

like that until it breaks.

When it breaks, you have
to put it back together.

That's how you know it's real.

So make sure it's real.

- Yellow.
