(fire booms)
- Illusion, the art of tricking the brain,
distorting the senses,
challenging perception.
You can't trust what you see, even with your own eyes.
Meet the masters of illusion.
(flames whoosh)
(audience cheering and applauding)
(energetic music)
(artist vocalizing)
(fire whooshes)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(upbeat music)
Welcome.
Welcome to a night where the impossible becomes reality
and surprises await at every turn.
I'm Dean Cain
and you are watching "Masters of Illusion".
(audience cheering and applauding)
Now, there's nothing quite like the thrill
of watching magic unfold right before your eyes.
It taps into our sense of wonder.
So let's see-
- Hey, Dean. - Our...
Let's see Adam Wiley here. Yes.
(audience applauding)
Yes. Hey, opening the show.
Here we go.
We'll start it off.
Here's the audience. - Oh.
We're supposed to be doing a show?
- We are doing a show.
- What kind of show?
- A magic show, my friend.
"Masters of Illusion," what we...
- Okay, hold on one second. Uh.
Um-
- Adam's very professional, usually.
It's not- - Dean Cain,
meet Dean Cane Sugar.
Um, hold out your hands.
Awesome. Don't drop that.
- Ohay. - Uh.
Uh, I got that.
- Hey, a quarter.
- Thank you. - Congratulations.
- Hold out your other hand.
- Oh, geez. - Perfect. Like this.
- Yes.
- Man of Steel, Man of Aluminum. Oh.
- Yep. - Okay.
Right there. - Quarter.
- Like that. Empty?
- Empty. Very empty.
- Empty? - Yep.
And this coke was in there. - Empty.
I'm gonna put that here.
And could you put your other hand on top?
Great, and just shake it like you're in a...
Make it explode if it's closed. Harder.
- Okay. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Okay.
- Did you hear that? - I did hear that.
- Open your hands.
- Gonna spurred out or no?
(objects rattling)
(audience applauds)
Did I just do magic?
- Yeah, you sure did. - I just did magic.
All right. Adam Wiley.
And let's see what our other
incredible magicians have in store.
Get outta here. Go out here.
- You're gonna need to tell me how you do that though,
'cause I really don't understand.
(audience applauds)
- This performer is here to dazzle you
with her signature blend of humor and magic.
But don't let her charm fool you.
She's about to take you on a wild ride
where the odds are always in her favor.
Let's welcome the incredible Lucy Darling.
(audience cheers and applauds)
(upbeat music)
- Look at all of you.
You know, magicians are often compared
to grifters, card cheats, and even the French.
(audience laughs)
Darling, what's your little name?
- Jim. - Jim.
I'm sure it is. Look at you.
I bet you go all the time.
Jim, darling, since you are helping out a magician
with a gambling game, you might need your wallet.
So give it to me.
(audience laughs)
Very nice. Yes.
Look at this, what we got in here?
Oh, look at all this money, that's yours.
(audience laughs)
You know, it's very strange being a magician.
No matter where you go, the country
or the currency, as soon
as you tell people you're a magician, when you ask
for money, they just give it to you.
(audience laughs)
(audience cheers and applauds)
Thank you, Jim.
Now allow me to indulge you in a bit of a story.
1852, the height of the California gold rush,
where only two places to go for entertainment,
the casino and the brothel.
Jim, you would've loved it.
(audience laughs)
On an otherwise unremarkable day,
There appeared a woman with dark hair
and dark eyes who walked unaccompanied down the center
of downtown into the largest casino
and began dealing a game of blackjack.
Now, this was remarkable for two reasons.
One, at the time, women were not allowed in casinos.
And two, this woman only spoke French.
This is the true story of a woman named Eleanor Dumont,
a card cheat, a gambler and some suspect, a magician.
That night she won herself a small fortune,
and she did that night after night
until she earned enough money to open her own casino,
The 21 (speaking in foreign language) in French.
It was an establishment, upscale, gorgeous,
that specialized in poker, blackjack, and roulette.
The best account we have of her is from a young man,
a reporter, who came to her table to try
to turn his modest fortune into a respectable one.
After three rounds, she had cleared him completely out.
But Eleanor had this magical way of convincing you
that you'd won even when you'd lost.
So, he joined her after the show,
and he was granted a glass of French champagne
and enough money to get home.
Jim, you look like a gambling man.
All too happy to be separated from your money. Am I right?
- Yes.
(audience laughs)
- Clearly.
Then why do you say you and I play a sexy little game? Yes?
- Okay. - It's a very easy game.
All you have to do is guess which bag
contains the bottle.
Do you think you can do that?
- Yes.
- I know it seems deceptively easy,
probably easier than you thought,
except for it shall not be,
'cause I'll be employing the exact same techniques,
confusion and misdirection
that were used those many years ago
by the great Eleanor Dumont.
So my friend, are you ready to be misdirected?
Mmm.
You seem a little too happy about that.
(audience laughs)
Jim, prepare yourself.
(lively music)
(audience laughs)
(Lucy making beeping noises)
(audience laughs)
Jim, where is the bottle?
Number one, number two, or number three?
- Number two.
- Number two. This one? - [Jim] Yeah.
How confident are you at that, Jim?
- Less confident than I was.
- Less confident you were? Yeah.
You weren't confident to start out with.
You just gave a strange woman all your money.
(audience laughs)
You think it's in here? Do you wanna change your mind?
- Yeah.
- You wanna go this way? - Yep.
- 100%? - Yep.
(paper crumples)
(audience groans)
- Oh no, poor Jim. Oh no.
Oh no.
Good. You know what?
But it's probably my fault.
You didn't have anything to work for. Nothing at risk.
So how about we play again? Yes?
Okay. And this time we're gonna play for my $97.
(audience laughs)
Okay, great. Little bit more at stake.
Jim, are you ready?
Yeah. - Yeah.
- Pay attention this time.
(lively music)
(audience laughs)
(Lucy making beeping noises)
(audience laughs)
Jim.
One or two?
- Two.
- Are you sure?
- Yes. - This number two?
- That number two. - Yeah?
You don't wanna change your mind?
This is the one?
For your $97? - Yeah.
(audience laughs)
(paper crumples)
(audience groans)
- Poor Jim. Oh no.
First he lost his hair and now this.
Oh, no.
It's so sad for Jim.
Jim, I'm nothing if not a generous spirit.
Do you wanna play one final time?
- Sure. - Okay, great.
I'll need another $97.
(audience laughs)
This one's on me. Okay.
I think you got this one, Jim.
(Lucy making beeping noises)
(audience laughs)
Oh.
Jim.
One or one?
(audience laughs)
- One. - You're kidding me.
This one? You're pretty confident at this
point, aren't you?
100%. Yeah.
(paper crumples)
(audience cheers and applauds)
Oh, Jim, don't you worry.
You have not gone home with nothing.
You have earned yourself a very valuable lesson, known by me
and all the other magicians at this place.
You see, it is important to never gamble
with anything you're not actually willing to lose.
(audience laughs)
(audience cheers and applauds)
So Jim, my new friend, in the spirit
of the great Eleanor Dumont,
I would like to grant you a gift
of French champagne and enough money to get home.
(audience laughs)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(lively music continues)
(fire blasts)
- [Dean] Coming up, Ivan Amodei's modern take
on Harry Houdini.
- You know, I don't know what's gonna happen.
'cause when I do this, sometimes it goes wrong and I'm dead.
(audience laughs)
- [Dean] And later, Maxence Vire
shows off his invisible cape.
- And now I completely invisible. Yes, you see?
- [Dean] Will it work?
Plus Anna Deguzman has a career first.
- No, this actually has never happened.
Can we? Can we start over?
- "Masters of Illusion" has so much left
up our sleeves.
Stick around.
(fire blasts)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(upbeat music)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(fire blasts)
Get ready for a performance that combines the spirit
of Houdini with a fresh and thrilling new approach.
Our next magician takes inspiration from the classics,
but always adds an innovative twist.
Please give it up for the phenomenal Ivan Amodei.
(audience cheers and applauds)
(upbeat music)
- Hey.
Hey.
Thank you.
Dean gave it away a little bit,
but who's the most famous magician in the world?
Dammit.
(audience laughs)
Why was Houdini famous?
Not for magic, for escape.
He could escape from any jail cell you locked him in.
That's what he really became known for.
How did Houdini do it? Yeah, I'll tell you one thing.
When they locked him in a jail cell, they told him
to take all his clothes off,
wrap him in a little ball and put him in a box.
They put him in a jail cell naked. And guess what?
Every time, he still escaped
and made it to his theater for his show.
Why did they make him take his clothes off?
Because they thought he was gonna smuggle in tools.
How did he escape from jail? He smuggled in tools.
(audience laughs)
He smuggled in one tool.
He smuggled in a piece of steel this big,
and instead of putting this piece of steel on him,
(dramatic music)
he put it in him.
Not what you think.
(audience laughs)
He'd swallow it.
And when the time came
and they threw him in the jail cell, they searched him.
Obviously he was clean.
And all you would have to do is just get it to come out
just the way it went down.
Amazing, isn't it? Yeah.
So tonight I'm gonna demonstrate
a technique that you've never seen before,
the technique of swallowing a piece
of steel like Houdini did it 100 years ago.
You guys wanna see that?
(audience cheers and applauds)
Perfect.
I'm gonna do it exactly how he did it, naked.
Let's do it. No, no.
(audience laughs)
I'm scared.
I'm gonna do it more hip today,
instead of one piece of steel,
we're gonna do it with a couple of dozen pieces of steel.
There's a yellow, a green and a red. These are sewing pins.
These are very sharp.
And tailors use them to basically just mark
your clothing when they want to sew 'em up.
It's very, very real.
I'm just gonna quickly just have you just take one out
and verify, any one.
Okay, take the red needle
and how you're gonna verify for everybody
that's real is jam her in the leg with it.
(audience laughs)
They're real. They're absolutely real.
Okay? Is that a deal?
Alright, this lady right here. Come on. Give her a big hand.
Here she comes.
(audience applauds)
How are you?
- I'm good. - Good. Nice to meet you.
What's your name? - Diana.
- Diana. You're gonna hold this in your one hand.
Show everybody.
And if you wanna take one out, take one out.
Feel it. It's sharp?
- Oh yeah. - Oh yeah.
Let's start throwing 'em in there together.
Come on. And I'm gonna put some in.
I'll put the red one in.
You put the whole bunch of white ones. We're good.
And we'll fill this up. And you got one more.
Very nice. We're good with this.
(dramatic music)
(audience laughs)
All right, Diana, shoot those down. Let's make it happen.
(audience laughs)
No, that's not, no, no, no. This is for real.
Come on. Give Diana a big hand for helping me out.
Thank you. Please go back to your seat.
(audience applauds)
You know, I don't know what's gonna happen.
'cause when I do this, sometimes it goes wrong and I'm dead.
(audience laughs)
So if you guys don't mind, if you don't mind,
just this one time, I'd like to take my applause
before I do this.
(audience laughs)
Thank you.
(audience applauds)
(dramatic music)
(Ivan grunts)
Yummy.
(audience laughs)
(audience applauds)
Yummy.
You're not buying that story, are you? Look at my mouth.
See if you see a whole bunch of white.
- I see a bunch of something.
- A bunch of teeth. Yeah.
Very cool.
Houdini was able to get one out,
but we have about 25 or so in there.
But let's not just take any out.
Let's take 'em out in the color order that you would like.
So since you're staring at me like you're a nut job, dude,
(audience laughs)
which color do you like?
There's a red, a green and a yellow.
And then there's a whole bunch of white ones.
But let's start off with the red, the green, or the yellow.
Which one do you like the most?
- Red. - Red.
(dramatic music)
(audience groans)
(audience applauds)
Lady in the very back,
I think you have a beautiful greenish jacket on.
What's your next favorite color?
There's yellow and green still in there.
- Green. - Green.
(dramatic music)
(audience exclaims)
(audience applauds)
What do you wanna go with last?
Which one do you wanna go with?
Yellow.
(audience laughs)
(Ivan laughing)
(audience applauds)
Yellow.
- Cool. Three needles.
Let me show you something that I brought with me.
This is a little blow dart. You know what this is used for?
It's very handy for me.
What I do is I load the needles in the blow dart,
then I shoot 'em at people that don't want to applaud.
(audience laughs)
So let's make sure everybody gets to applaud.
(audience applauds)
Alright, cool.
So let's pick a couple of random people.
This gentleman right there,
that you sound like a good person.
I haven't picked you. You're good here yet.
How about you?
You raise your hand. You're good?
I want you three people, if you don't mind,
just think of a location somewhere in the world, city,
state, country.
You got one? You got one?
and then, you got one.
Okay, what is your location?
- Tanzania. - Tanzania.
- No idea where that is.
(audience laughs)
- Yours? - Hawaii.
- Hawaii. Nice.
I know where that is and?
- Salt Lake City. - Salt Lake City.
So they send these three locations maybe
because it means something to them.
So typically if you go back
to that spot, it brings back memories.
So we're gonna load the needles into the blow dart
and take you back to this spot right now.
Hawaii, Tanzania, Salt Lake City. Here we go.
(dramatic music)
(Ivan blowing)
Wait a minute. What if they're just in random spots?
Big deal.
They need to be in the exact spots
of those three people because then then it
wouldn't be that impressive.
So let's go check it out. What did you say?
- Tanzania. - Tanzania.
Now, I failed sociology,
so I have no idea where Tanzania is.
Look at the green needle and tell everybody nice and loud.
Exactly. Where is that green needle stuck?
- Tanzania. - Tanzania!
(audience cheers and applauds)
That's one.
What'd you say?
Hawaii.
Let's skip that dude.
(audience laughs)
What'd you say? Salt Lake City.
Let's come over here. Green is taken.
That means red is probably the next one.
Take a real close look and it can't be almost.
It has to be exact. Where is that red needle?
- Exactly on- - Come on!
That's two!
That's two.
(audience cheers and applauds)
That's good.
Hawaii for the man.
You are yellow. You are the last needle.
Red's been taken by Hawaii
and green has been taken by Tanzania.
Nice and loud, tell 'em where that yellow needle is. Go.
- The middle of the Indian Ocean.
(audience laughs)
- Two outta three. Come on, gimme some credit.
Two outta three.
(audience applauds)
Two outta three.
I know where Hawaii is. I can't even believe I missed that.
I got Tanzania, but I missed Hawaii. That's not right.
(audience laughs)
Wow. That's just unbelievable.
So if you guys don't mind, I'd like
to get myself out of this.
Do you guys remember all the little white ones I still had?
Yeah, let's get those out.
(dramatic music)
(Ivan gagging and spitting)
What'd you say? - Hawaii.
- Okay. That's what I spelled on the apple, Hawaii.
I don't know if that worked out. It says Hawaii.
(upbeat music)
Let's hear it.
(fire blasts)
[Dean] Coming up,
Maxence Vire shows off his invisible cape.
- And now I completely invisible. Yes, you see?
- [Dean] Will it work?
(audience laughs)
And later, Alex Ramon presents the magic of his pup MJ.
- MJ is doing the magic trick. That's right.
(MJ barks)
- [Dean] Plus Murray SawChuck surprises us all.
- Am I right? Come on now.
How does he do it?
- "Masters of Illusion" will return,
so don't disappear.
(fire booms)
(energetic music)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(energetic music)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(fire booms)
Prepare to be amazed by a magician whose illusions
are so seamless,
they'll have you questioning everything you know.
His ability to blur the lines between reality
and fantasy has earned him recognition around the world.
Let's give a warm welcome to the extraordinary Maxence Vire.
(audience cheers and applauds)
(upbeat music)
- America. (speaking in foreign language)
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I'm so happy to be here
because today I want to explain a trick for you.
(audience applauds)
This is a classic of magic.
And when I saw it, when I was child,
I said, "Oh my God, this is so beautiful.
How can it work?" And I found it and I will explain now.
So listen to me.
Infuse into this beautiful table will flying on the stage
without nothing.
And you will say, "Wow."
(audience laughs)
You will see. I explain.
In reality all the magician wearing an invisible cape.
Yeah.
And when I will put my invisible cape
on me, I will be completely disappear.
And I will wing the table
and the table's starting to floating.
But don't be afraid. It just me.
Okay? Okay.
I will show you. Watch.
This is so crazy. Watch.
Woo. And now I completely invisible. Yes, you see?
(audience laughs)
And in few second the table was starting to floating
and you can't imagine how I do it.
Ooh. Stop, it's me.
Ooh.
You see? The table floating in the air.
No thread.
And it's completely finished. And now, oh, I'm stuck, sorry.
(audience laughs)
I come back.
(audience applauds)
I know, I know.
This is amazing. Yes?
You like it?
So, now of course I explain,
but now I will show you in real condition
like I do by show.
And this will be amazing. You will see completely.
What are you doing? You forgot your invisible cape, move.
Put your invisible cape.
(audience laughs)
That's it. Don't be afraid.
He will bring the table.
It will be starting to floating, but it just him. Okay?
But imagine, imagine. Okay.
With the real condition of the show.
? Ooh ?
Okay, I'm starting.
Music maestro.
(dramatic music)
(audience laughs)
(audience laughs)
(dramatic music continues)
(audience laughs)
(audience applauds)
(dramatic music continues)
(audience laughs)
(audience laughs)
(audience applauds)
(audience cheers and applauds)
You all know!
(dramatic music continues)
(intense music)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(upbeat music)
and my assistant please.
(fire booms)
- [Dean] Coming up, Alex Ramon presents the magic
of his pup MJ.
- MJ's doing the magic here.
That's right. - [Dean] And later,
Anna DeGuzman has a career first.
- No, this actually has never happened.
Can we start over?
- Plus, Joseph Reohm will defy reality.
"Masters of Illusion" is just getting started.
(fire booms)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(energetic music)
(energetic music)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(fire booms)
Let's give a round of applause for Alex Ramon.
(audience cheers and applauds)
(upbeat music)
- Thank you very much.
Thank you very much.
This is everyone's favorite part of the show,
the cute blonde.
(audience laughs)
And I don't mean you, Stacey, okay? It's MJ.
Right now I need someone to come watch MJ.
I need a puppy sitter.
I need someone that's gonna come puppy sit and watch my dog.
Preferably the most responsible person in this room.
All right, let me, not even, no sir. Put your hand down.
Definitely not you. Alright, let's come here.
Hi, what's your name? - Angeline.
- Angeline. Come on up.
Give Angeline a big hand. Come on Angeline.
Watch your step.
I got you. I got you.
You can stand right here next to MJ.
You can pet him. He's so soft. Is he soft?
- Super. - Super soft.
Alright, Angeline, this is MJ
and I have a collar for MJ right here.
Has a tag and also has a little bag on it.
I want you to look inside that bag.
Is there anything inside the bag? Just the chain?
- Yeah, just the chain. - Just the chain.
Put that chain back inside the bag. Go ahead.
All the way in. Great.
I'm gonna place this collar
around MJs neck like this.
And that tag says he belongs to me in case you try
and leave with a dachshund.
(audience laughs)
Watching you.
And now this is my favorite part of the show
because this is where I go shopping
and I'm shopping for diamonds.
(audience laughs)
And you're a jewelry store.
Yeah. There you go.
Show the bling. Come on now, Angeline.
Look at that.
You got a ring on like every finger.
I'll take the one with the biggest diamond, please.
That's right. That was easy.
Okay.
(audience laughs)
She just met me, still gave me her ring. That's fantastic.
Love that. Alright Angeline, how's MJ doing?
He's good? - Great.
- Alright, now you're gonna come on over here with me.
Angeline, stand right here. And this is your ring.
Hold onto your ring just like that.
Don't cover the diamond. Let everybody see.
Now, I just want everyone to realize something.
This is gonna be the last time you ever see this ring.
I'm just kidding.
(audience laughs)
Alright look. I'm gonna take the ring.
Alright Angelina, I want you to say bye.
- Bye.
Bye.
(Alex laughs)
- Look, my sleeves are rolled up.
I'm gonna place your ring into my fist.
Right into your fist, and I'm not gonna let go.
My sleeves are rolled up
and you are gonna make sure I don't cheat.
You're gonna grab onto my wrist. Go ahead, Angeline.
Grab onto my wrist. My wrist.
Both hands. Both hands.
In a nice loud voice, Angeline say, "Go."
- Go.
(energetic music)
- [Audience] Whoa.
- Wasn't that amazing magic? - Uh huh.
- Alright, I need another diamond. That's what I need.
I need another. Who has?
Okay, Angeline, your ring disappeared.
Wasn't that amazing? So good, right?
- Great. - You're done.
Go have a seat.
No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding, Angelina.
I wouldn't do that. Here's the reality.
Reality is I'm not doing this magic trick.
You know who's doing the magic trick? MJ.
MJ is doing the magic trick. That's right.
Stand right over here. I want you to remember that bag.
I want you to grab onto the bag. Hold onto it.
Do not let go.
Now, MJ has been wearing that collar
around his neck since before Angeline gave me her ring.
And follow me this way, Angeline, follow me this way.
- [Audience] No way. - Yes way.
You can let go now.
(audience laughs)
I know you're really anxious to see what's in there.
I want you to feel inside that bag. Do you feel something?
- Just the chain. - Just the chain.
Well, I hope it's not just the chain.
Lemme tell you that, because
the chain's still in there.
But also Angeline, there's a diamond ring attached to it.
(audience applauds)
Hold your hand out. Hold your hand out.
I'm gonna give you that diamond ring right there.
Hold onto it. Put that back on your finger.
And everybody give it up for MJ.
(audience cheers and applauds)
Is that your ring? - Yes.
- That is your band, but I took the diamond.
Okay, you go have a seat.
You're doing a great job. Give it up for Angeline and MJ.
(audience cheers and applauds)
(energetic music)
(fire booms)
- [Dean] Coming up, Murray SawChuck surprises us all.
- Am I right? Come on now.
How does he do it?
- [Dean] And later, Anna DeGuzman has a career first.
- No, this actually has never happened.
Can we start over?
- Plus, Joseph Reohm will defy reality.
"Masters of Illusion" has wonders in store. Stay tuned.
(fire booms)
(energetic music)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(energetic music)
(audience cheers and applauds)
(fire booms)
This performer has been making audiences laugh and gasp

(audience cheers and applauds)
- What's up?
How you guys doing?
So as a magician, I get so tired of doing card tricks.
That's what we're known for.
So I thought I'd do a different trick with cards,
but a little bit different.
All right?
The cards I happen to have right here,
Danny has, are fruits and vegetable cards.
Why not? I think it's more exciting.
It's like 52 different cards. Thank you, thank you.
And you can see they're all different kinds
of cards here as you guys can see.
All right? All different fruits and vegetables.
So here's what we're going to do. All right?
I'm gonna need somebody to help me. You'd be great.
Love the glasses. Nice, and the tie.
What's your name?
- I'm Brett. - Brett.
How you doing, Brett? - I'm so good.
Good, good.
So I'm gonna have you help me.
I'm gonna go through these fruits and vegetables.
I want you say stop whenever you want.
You're gonna pick a fruit or vegetable.
You're call, whatever you wish, Brett. Say stop anytime.
- Stop. - Right there?
Great. All right, lock that in.
Can you it? Yes?
You guys got that all in? Yes?
You guys can see that well?
Brett, you can see that? Yes?
Very important, you got that? All right.
Keep it to yourself. Make sure I don't know what that is.
Okay, got that? Put these in here.
I'm gonna shuffle these up just like so.
Mix them up just for you, Brett.
I'm gonna try to take a guess
what fruit or vegetable you chose.
Okay? Take a wild guess. You chose a vegetable.
- Yeah. - Yes.
So it's not a fruit, it's not a peach. All right.
You chose if I get this right guy,
I mean, this is ridiculous.
You chose a cucumber. Am I right?
Come on now. How does he do it?
I mean seriously, how does he do?
I mean, honest to God, they're kids flash charts, people.
Come on. You're smarter than that.
Actually, I have something right here,
which is the newspaper,
'cause I think the, I'm the only person
that ever reads a newspaper.
I love a real paper for some reason.
You don't get interrupted by popup ads or anything.
I actually have your prediction in this newspaper.
Yeah, I want to see if you can actually find it. All right?
I want you to see if you can catch me, so watch carefully.
Here we go.
(upbeat music)
(paper rustling)
Nothing yet, Brett?
- No.
- No.
Nothing.
(upbeat music continues)
(audience exclaims)
What do you think?
(audience cheers and applauds)
Pretty cool, right?
Now Brett, quick question.
What was the fruit or vegetable that you chose?
It was a turnip, right?
- Cucumber. - Cucumber. I knew that.
Is that yours right there?
(audience cheers and applauds)
And that's for you. Salad on you.
And that's for you guys right there.
(audience cheers and applauds)
(fire booms)
- [Dean] Coming up, Anna DeGuzman has a career first.

(audience cheers and applauds)
- Hello, everyone.
So lovely to be back here at "Masters of Illusion".
I would love the help of one lucky person here today.
- Right here. - Okay. Really?
You ready?
Why is everyone pointing at you? Is it your birthday?
- No.
- I usually go for the person pointing,
not the person being pointed at.
- Oh. - Okay. Hi, what's your name?
- Bianca. - Bianca, nice to meet you.
I'm Anna. - Nice to meet you, too.
- Cool. You can see all the cards are different, right?
(upbeat music)
(audience applauds)
Okay.
Now, of course you've seen me handle a deck of cards,
but this time I want the magic
to happen in your hands.
Okay, Bianca, go ahead and take any one of the cards.
That one? Go ahead and show everybody what it is.
Hold it up high to everyone behind you.
And put it back, face down. Remember the card.
Do not forget it. We're gonna mix this up.
Classic pick a card and I find it. Okay?
The five clubs, right?
Here. Take the card, your card.
Why'd you shake your head? - Oh, that's not my card.
- Is she messing with me?
(audience laughs)
Are you actually serious?
But it was a five, right?
- No. - It was a club?
(audience laughs)
It wasn't, really?
No, this actually has never happened.
Can we start over?
We'll start over. Okay?
Can you hold out your hand, flat? Hold onto that.
We don't need it. What was your actual card?
- A king.
- King of what?
(audience laughs)
You had one job. Just remember the card.
What was it?
- [Audience] A diamond. - King of diamonds?
Okay. King of diamonds.
Okay, I did find it. Okay?
But the truth is this is all an illusion
because you've been holding onto the king of diamonds
the whole time.
(audience exclaims)
Because I have the five, so what do you have?
(audience gasps)
(audience exclaims)
Show everybody. Hold it up.
(audience cheers and applauds)
Come on.
You thought...
But a torn cart is no use.
Can you squeeze onto the pieces for me?
Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze, squeeze.
Put the other hand on top. Now.
Ready? Squeeze tight.
Do you feel it melting in your hand?
- No.
- Just like that?
Open up and show everybody what you have now.
(intense music)
(audience exclaims)
(audience cheers and applauds)
Thank you, Bianca. Thank you all for having me.
You can keep that.
You can keep that.
I want you to remember this moment
for the rest of your life.
Thank you all so much.
(audience cheers and applauds)
- Please join me in welcoming
the extraordinary Joseph Reohm.
