All language subtitles for 11 - Perfecting your cover English

Awesome guys now that we've got to try to perfected which is the name of our project we now want to

give it a face which is we want to perfect the cover of our book.

Now the cover of our book is really important because it's the only visual representation that we get.

And people do judge books by that cover which means you have to accurately represent what's inside the

book and make think cover spend a lot of time and make it high quality and Project Professional vibes.

So I'm going to give you a few helpful hints on how to perfect your cover.

I'm also going to show you a couple of resources you can use to get your cover created depending on

how good you are with photoshop or Kanva.

You may even want to outsource it.

I'm going to show you how to do that too.

So let's have a look.

The first tip is always to keep it simple and symbolic never crowd your cover with details and lots

of little photos and try and describe something in picture format or something you want it to be symbolic

and really easy and simple to look at.

The second tip is to find unique colors that appear in your search.

So what you want to appear on Amazon Serj have a look what's above and below you and see what colors

they're using and try and pick alternative colors so that when people see the search results your books

are going to be the one that stands out and gets kicked them.

And lastly use an 11:28 by 1300 pixel canvas to be displayed as large as possible in those search results.

So some people using small images which means that book looks skinny and it doesn't take years.

It doesn't take up as much real estate on the search results as it can.

So as you know the bigger the book appears the more eyes it will have on it and the more clicks it will

get to make sure you optimize with 11:28 by fifteen hundred pixels.

So there are a couple of helpful hints to keep in mind when you are creating a cover.

Now let's have a look at what tools you should be using to create it.

So number one which is always going to be number one is Photoshop.

If you have skills in Photoshop I recommend that you complete it by yourself because it's free.

Get to own and kind of take pride in your own book being all of your work.

So I personally am going to use Photoshop for my cover up and I suggest you do the same if you don't

have skills.

Don't try and learn it now.

I'm going to show you in a couple of seconds.

Kanva dot com which is almost like an online simplified version of Photoshop which is going to be really

helpful in creating simple graphics and simple covers for your e-books.

Lastly if you're not really that interested in creating the cover for your e-book or you feel you don't

have the skills yet that's OK.

I'm going to show you how to outsource your ebook cover.

So it still looks professional and it's still really cheap to produce.

So Photoshop is pretty self-explanatory.

So you go ahead and sign your Facebook account.

You can create a new account with your e-mail address then you want to come in click use custom dimensions

to create our cover.

So the width is 11:28 and the height is fifteen hundred.

Click design.

Ok so what they do is they give you a blank piece of canvas on the right and over on the left of the

tools to create your cover.

So the best way to start is to come down and choose a background so you can see there's lots of different

colors lots of different patterns down here that are all free.

The ones with free written on them are of course free.

They're more premium images that actually cost a little bit of money depending on if you want to invest

in this or not.

I'm just going to stick with the free ones to demonstrate so I'm going to come in and choose this image

right here.

If you change the color and come up and add some text so you can see you can just drag and drop different

images.

I guess you edit that text by clicking on it.

As you can see in coming in at it what it looks like lots of different options.

It's really easy and it does all the hard work for you is the best part.

So you can come in and change the size of your font.

Very intuitive and really easy to learn really is a pick up even if you have no experience with designing

things.

So

I'm just putting in random things obviously nothing really makes sense.

But you get the you get the idea you can just drag and drop and do different things to make your cover

look how you want it to look and there's no there's no right or wrong.

Obviously with the cover part to keep apart from keeping it simple and

keeping it simple and relative to your story or so you can literally come in here and drag and drop

everything that you want onto your onto your canvas over here.

And just as an e-book you can play around with it.

You get different layout too which is obviously different.

It breaks down the canvas in different areas.

The other great thing is you can search images.

So if you want to put an animal in literally anything so I'll type in the one line gives you lots of

pages of lines.

Can't have too many lines in the cover book.

Obviously I'm just doing this really roughly.

I take a lot of time with yours and make sure it's looking good.

So all the controls are pretty interesting searches where you find all your functions you can put in

shapes and icons.

Put in this cute little ducky next to a lion

can see there's just a whole range of things to choose from.

I think you can run out of options put in some lines to make it look a little more professional.

Something like

click on it maybe you

stretch it

anyway you get the idea coming here and have a play or find a book that looks appealing our fun a book

cover that looks appealing to you already and then come in here and just try and replicate our certain

characteristics that you like from that book cover and obviously edit it.

So it's your own.

And you know ripping off another book cover.

But take this the main themes and take the design lay out and you know you know it's something that

already works and looks appealing and you can come in and just put in your own images using that template.

So when you're done simply come out of the link and publish and send you a zip file to download your

JPEG all ready to be uploaded to Amazon Kindle.

I'm not going to show you how to outsource your book cover if you feel you don't have the skills for

Photoshop or camp dot com.

So outsourcing your images is really simple with this one Web site that I'm sure you're already familiar

with five a dot com where people do jobs for $5.

One of those jobs that is very popular is designing graphics and in particular designing ebook covers

for you for just $5.

There are a lot of other alternatives such as oDesk.

Elaine's.

We can hire a personal assistant an Ohio professional graphic designer.

But this is by far the cheapest and the quickest that I've found.

So simply come over to a it out come say this to ours in the logo and type in Kindl

don't want to sign in right now.

And as you can see these people will all design you an ebook cover for just $5 and if you come up and

click express gigs they will deliver it in 24 hours.

So what happens is you can come in let's take let's take this person will cover for Kindle.

You can see examples that he's done in the past.

Some of them look good so it looks pretty good.

This one's a very average I would make sure you're happy with it before you accept it and just come

up here and click.

Order now one quantity and then send them a message.

Will you be prompted to send them a message with what you want to be on your cover and how you want

it to be designed.

I'm not going to use this.

I haven't actually used any of these sellers so I can't recommend a specific seller but have a look

at their feedback.

You can see that feedback by hovering over and the stars pop up on the bottom.

High rated is obviously the higher rated tasks 6000 jobs performed.

So come in and find one that works for you and send them images that you want to include send them texts

that you want them include and they'll deliver that within 24 to probably three or four days at the

latest.

So that's five adult come.

It's going to keep it really simple for outsourcing because this is all you need if you're not going

to design your image.

Awesome.

So now you should have a cover either in the works or ready to go.

I used Photoshop for my cover and this is what I came up with.

As you can see it has all the elements that I've described earlier.

So it's simple.

It's symbolic and it actually represents what's inside the book.

So each one of these pitches are symbolic of one of my habits.

It clearly represents the title of the book with lose weight feel great and live a healthy lifestyle.

The bottom and it has fresh and clean colors that represent a healthy lifestyle.

So I'm quite happy with how that turned out.

And I hope you're happy with yours as well.

So now we have the face and the name of our project are our e-book.
