intentions you've already done a lot for

me and I don't want you to take any more

risks I'm not afraid of anyone after all

i'm duke of bavaria

besides escaping on foot is a lousy idea

unless you want to get caught on top of

that Miss Lucy knows lots of princes at

the palace I'm sure if she talks to

Franz he'll let you live with us simple

as that very well I'll stay on condition

that Miss Lucy doesn't tell anyone not

kisses man see us so burgomaster hard at

work I see we came to warn you that your

the boat the boat of the crystal hmm I

see that you didn't learn much from our

last to listen well we'll just have to

give you another one

today's lesson should be very convincing

is a free country understood that he

should move this cursor to Austria over

there he can scare people in this

[Music]

they did it

I don't think August and his men will

bother anyone anymore my darling I'm so

proud of you it's mostly thanks to all

the people of the village them over

tomorrow idea don't worry if you'll

allow me count and maybe that's not a

bad idea what the devil you mean maggot

of course I don't mean we would actually

move but you tell Tarkus if you went in

person to the Empire maybe that way the

Empire would come to you I just had a

stroke of genius thanks to me and

persevere will be told in person about

Duke Maxis treason go saddle my horse

nightly I'm on champion that's a stroke

of genius alright

[Music]

have you seen my new dress Franz I had

it sent specially from Paris urgent

messages for your Majesties

[Music]

no riots in Hungary general Congress bag

the Hungarians have started up again get

your troops already took crossness

latest uprising come on give me the

letter quick you're so impatient Franz

it's been so long such as written come

on Carl give it to me

dear Franz dear Carl so much has

happened recently yes all right

ah I have a new riding instructor now I

ride bareback like the Hungarian

Cavaliers

that doesn't surprise me coming from CC

but Franz you should know that this

letter will be my last until we see each

other again I've waited for you much too

long hmm a letter what's in it state

secret that Elizabeth again it was her

stationery I recognized it that silly

thing will never leave us alone the coat

arcus asks to be received by this Helena

count arcus how interesting tell him I

shall receive him in the small library

[Music]

I'm afraid I bring bad news especially

for the Duke and his family hens good

news for us then count I see that we

still understand each other miss Helena

I have proof of the Dukes treason

against the Empire

he's sheltering the leader of the

Hungarian rebels in his room his home

then surely his whole family is involved

most certainly and Elizabeth as well of

course of course I was counting on you

to inform Empress of India and I have a

better idea there's someone in this

palace much more important than the

Empress more important than the Empress

[Music]

follow me count arcus

[Applause]

now see see your troubles really begin

after you if CC can ride bareback

so can I in my capacity as personal

counselor to the Empress I'm not a bad

habit of lending credence to every

single accusation

people are so slanderous but the

information you've just given me is very

interesting and I have full confidence

in this Helena I thank you your

excellency nevertheless the princes are

very fond of Duke Max's family they're

fools excellency

troublesome fools are there but I heard

that the crown prince

Franz liked the Dukes eldest daughter

very much

she's a little pest indeed then perhaps

it's time the prince finally learns the

true nature of this Elizabeth and her

family in fact I've already thought of a

much better match for Franz but we'll

speak about that later miss Helena

[Music]

[Applause]

come on Franz you've almost got it

may I request the honor of your company

Highness late as a tonic later

[Music]

allow me to insist highness it involves

the security of the Empire the fact is

your highness the life of your friend

Sisi is directly threatened

[Music]

see talk quick what's going on I have

received some very confidential

information speak for heaven's sake a

dangerous Hungarian rebel managed to

escape our soldiers and is spreading

terror in the region where your friends

live my Informer added that he may be a

posse at this very moment and posse and

who gave you this confidential

information here he is now Highness camp

Argos you're the Informer your highness

I swear on the grave of of my poor

mother that I saw with my own eyes

colonel and Rossi roaming near Posse in

that case there isn't a moment to lose

I'll have an escort saddled if you'll

allow me Highness the Bavarians are not

enamored with our soldiers and it would

be preferable that we maintain good

relations with them you're right

counselor the count and I will go alone

I hope that you told me the truth

count Argos otherwise you'll regret

highness how would you think that I

would dare lie to you I'll go with you

no Carl it's much too dangerous tell

mother that that I left for Innsbruck

for a little rest

[Music]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Music]

I'm going to the well to fill the jug

[Laughter]

what are you doing out here Tommy why

don't you have the party I'm on watch

come on we have nothing to fear from

Marcus the last lesson he got must have

cooled him off for a while

I'd rather you be careful you never know

with that rascal

suit yourself Tommy she's in danger

front

[Music]

wrist fronds what are you doing what's

come over you

but I thought he was si si don't you

know who this man is

of course it's Beulah and Rossi my

father's best friend but he's Hungarian

rebel he's wanted by the police of the

Austrian Empire

yes but where'd Posse Franz in my little

kingdom so welcome

[Music]

some count is your desire for revenge so

great that you forgot the rules of

dueling what's wrong ah it's getting

tired tired me you see

kunkka Marcus I can't wait all right I

thought we were journaling and so we are

you piece of traitorous Hungarian trash

Marcus please

sticks and stones you know over here

[Music]

come on you'll have to be faster than

that

Marcus jump easily come

who's the scum now you're the one in the

dirt

[Music]

enough brain Hungarian

[Music]

No

[Laughter]

you always say that when you leave yes

it's also a refuge for the enemies of

the Empire I thank you for your clemency

my debt to the Duke and his hospitality

prevent me from arresting you colonel

but be aware that I regret it I have to

warn you in the eyes of the Austrian

Empire you are all outlaws that's what

we did to defend the Hungarian cars and

I'm proud we did it I never thought I'd

see the day when you would be the enemy

of my country give me back my sword

please

you've changed Franz say Franz you

leaving already

oh yes Gina I'm leaving for Innsbruck I

don't think I'll be back for a while in

fact I may never come back

let him go there's nothing left burned

here anyway

[Music]

I am just

[Music]

[Music]

let me be myself

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]
