being a mother

Tommy escapes our kisses imprisonment

and manages to establish himself as a

member of the staff he's seized new page

meanwhile Cece and her friends scare

Helena and retrieve the magic mirror Ida

is freed at last

Cece wonders aloud

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

I would have loved to go join them do

you really have to leave yes CeCe I

absolutely must meet and Rossi to set up

a Hungarian problem once and for all

you're right Franz it's too important

that'll be my consolation for not

spending Christmas with you or my

birthday that's right Christmas is your

birthday oh never mind we'll have our

whole lives to celebrate Christmas and

my birthday together come on let's go

I don't just be waiting for us well Karl

are you going to make a move it's your

turn

hmm check and mate what but the game

just started oh I hate chess it's

ridiculous

Karl where are you going I've had it up

to here with your temper Helena

[Music]

my friends have you seen Ida no we were

supposed to meet her here it was agreed

that I should accompany her to Hungary

it's strange

her Caravan is empty she's nowhere to be

found I'll bet she couldn't wait to see

Gulen and Rossi I can understand her

you're right CeCe

she must have gone ahead to prepare my

meeting with him franz helen is gonna

drive me crazy Franz I beg you take me

with you to Hungary I'd like nothing

better Karl but you know that mother

would be categorically against it my

dear Prince if you please follow me I

have a proposition for you that I think

you'll find interesting these have

already been used this I'm planning to

use on the performance on preparing

especially for the Empress but I didn't

even have time to find you a gift the

best gift for me would be peace with the

Hungarians goodbye my friends and take

care of Sisi while I'm gone

bon voyage fritz Franz I think it's time

to visit our guest My dear

count and let's take gossip along I

don't want to take a chance on our

little princess finding him will be very

sad this year sad why dear Lord

Buttercup from mr. Santa's performance

especially for us oh good is a circus

Franz is gone my father is on a mission

Carl left me come come my dear Helena

don't be so Memon Kali Christmas Eve

will be joyful and I'm counting on you

to organize everything very gladly

Majesty is for Karl I promise to bring

him round

[Music]

the so Miss Ferran see do you like your

suite maybe you'll be less haughty when

your friend Colonel and Rossi comes to

join you Beulah arrest him and no not

yet but it won't be long

I've already sent men to Hungary to

spread the news of your detention that

reckless fool and Rossi loves you he's

bound to attempt the impossible and try

to rescue you and we'll have only to

pluck him like a flower if only we could

have spent Christmas at Passy there

there si si I know you're disappointed

but there are those who have little

enough reason to celebrate at Christmas

who do you mean lady Matilde my little

orphans your little or let me tell you a

secret for a few years now I've been

godmother of an orphanage and you never

told me a thing I haven't told the

Empress either I doubt she'd be pleased

she's horrified by poverty you're right

to remind me of my good fortune lady

Matilde when are we going to see these

poor children right right away if you

want me are you coming with us Tommy

this is some other time I have things to

do as you wish what would make her happy

at Christmas any ideas crunchy way of

course gossip

I'll get gossip back for her I'm sure

that's torn ik is hiding him somewhere

and you better clean the chimneys

properly this time

have you seen Carl

[Music]

hey Franz Karl yes sir

Vivaldi the things of prince will do to

get away from Helena special guests I

would like you to meet my friend cece

sea lion each other of course

ceci saved my life there was a flood in

the village and Anita's house was

completely submerged

I need a run up to the roof but she was

too frightened to slide down to us so

ceci dived in and swam near the house I

went up to the attic but the trap door

was closed with lodge but I managed to

open it and so the two of us went to

bargaining down the roof Oh

I've often asked myself what became of

you and here you Oh Anita yes My

Children

it's a small world

I haven't seen this hallway before

[Music]

where he come from it was almost like he

walked through the wall like a ghost or

something

laughter together neke wait you sure

learn fast try again

so tor nick is gossip it sounds almost

like his voice is coming from somewhere

inside the palace walls

oh is that Ida I thought she was in

Hungary

that's a torn ik he kidnapped her I'd

bet my life on him quit crunchy we have

to tell somebody the orphanage doesn't

have anyone in charge not enough money

the older ones take care of the younger

ones I do what I can for them but you

give them part of what you earn at the

palace don't show most of it but it's

not enough I'd like so much to help you

lady Matilda what if they came to

shunran to celebrate Christmas wonderful

but the Empress would never agree to it

leave that up to me after all Christmas

makes everyone nicer Wow for a few hours

at least

is it true Cece we're going to spend

Christmas at the palace with you it's

out of the question

but your majesty my children are very

well-behaved and this celebration would

make them so hurt another one of your

whims Elizabeth the palace isn't a hotel

I said no and that's final

oh it's so unfair with all of this I

still haven't found cow there are you

two

it's very simple I'll hold a Christmas

party for the orphans whether she likes

it or not when let's see perhaps we

could organize a small civil party but

where I could have it in the exotic

greenhouse

Sadie Matilda I love you

[Music]

oh you scared me but you two look so

worried what's going on

something's serious you'd better come

with us

could you explain to me why we're

wasting our time looking for the old

plans of schönbrunn they must show the

walls and foundations of the palace

according to Tommy gossip and Ida's

voices seem to be coming from there it's

the only way to find out where they are

well alright

still with all these thousands of books

we won't be finished until Christmas

next Christmas huh come quick

I think shadow found it yes that's it

look there under this Chapel there's a

crypt large and very deep that's the old

palace chapel it's guarded like a

fortress impossible to get in unless

you're disguised as a mouse

[Music]

beg your pardon it's for the chimney

[Music]

my good men could we ask you a little

favor but what's the meaning of this you

haven't finished come back you just

can't get good help these days you raise

your voice once and they walk out on you

be careful not to spread your stood

everywhere Ida was right I really do

need to go on a diet

[Laughter]

[Music]

we have to jump onto those it's the only

way to reach that window take a look

inside

you can never be too careful

[Music]

huh

Tommy you gave me such a fright Shh I'm

sure I heard something must be a bad the

Crypt is swarming with them warnings

guards we must have stumbled on a secret

hideaway

listen it's I his voice it seems to be

coming from there

[Music]

see see see see princess it is you if it

wasn't for your hair I wouldn't have

recognized you but what are you doing

here tell me everything after getting

out of prison I fell sound asleep in my

trailer and this morning so torna came

to visit me with one of his spies gossip

I don't know what's going on anymore and

I on the other hand I'm just beginning

to understand me too so turnip wants to

keep gossip for himself so he shuts and

I appear pretending he's on a secret

mission the counselor wants the truce

between Austria and Hungary to fail he

locks Ida up pretending she's in Hungary

it's a tonic sway exactly and by keeping

me prisoner here he makes sure that EULA

will come rescue me not only doesn't

Rossi mrs. appointment with Prince Franz

he also walks right into the tonics the

dough trap but the tonic doesn't know

that by looking for gossip we've thrown

off his plans hmm we'd better go now

don't worry Otto will warn and Rossi and

I promise that you won't stay here long

I'll take good care of us I knew he was

too nice to visit our necks bird it's

like the Arctic in here well are you

gonna wait till I freeze to death fools

you can't even light a fire I've had it

I'll go somewhere else to get warm

I'm stuck it's no use

[Applause]

by Jupiter I nearly forgot the

performance for the Empress yes and I

forgot the orphans it's hate for the

circus animals all right move along

[Music]

the semiosis circus is happy to please

your majesty by Jupiter and Rossi hello

but first the princess wants to see you

come

excellency have no fear I'll hand you on

drasi on a silver platter tonight or my

name isn't arcus in that case you'll

surely need an escort of his arse that

won't be necessary

I'll be seeing you later this evening at

the imperial fiance's reception here are

your disguises keep your eyes open

beware my dear and Rossi this time he

won't escape me having their Christmas

celebration oh you know I think

Elizabeth has a lot of fun with them

hardly surprising that Elizabeth prefers

the company of circus performers she's a

peasant who please excuse me a business

as elves are hiding behind every palm

tree as soon as Franz comes back

arrest come now it's Christmas Eve the

night of hope I propose a toast
