SURVIVOR
Season 44 Episode 09
Under the Wing of a Dragon

2
00:00:11,305 --> 00:00:13,908
We're just coming back
from tribal council, and...

3
00:00:14,033 --> 00:00:17,261
Contrary to what usually happens
in this game everything

4
00:00:17,480 --> 00:00:18,837
exactly as expected.

5
00:00:18,962 --> 00:00:20,641
Everyone voted Frannie.

6
00:00:20,766 --> 00:00:22,232
I played idol for her.

7
00:00:22,357 --> 00:00:24,344
- I play it for Frannie.
- OK.

8
00:00:24,732 --> 00:00:26,382
And we took Brandon out.

9
00:00:26,507 --> 00:00:29,674
Brandon. Three is enough.
Bring me your torch.

10
00:00:30,056 --> 00:00:32,393
It was a hit!

11
00:00:32,773 --> 00:00:35,712
playing an idol,
everyone dreams of it in Survivor.

12
00:00:35,837 --> 00:00:39,360
And that it goes as planned,
It's a good feeling.

13
00:00:39,485 --> 00:00:42,977
It wasn't the best shot
all time ? Like, iconic?

14
00:00:43,102 --> 00:00:44,906
- Great move.
- Oh my God !

15
00:00:45,031 --> 00:00:47,452
Everyone feared
that the four Ratu

16
00:00:47,577 --> 00:00:49,457
destroy everything in their path.

17
00:00:49,582 --> 00:00:52,575
The strategy was therefore
to weaken Ratu.

18
00:00:52,700 --> 00:00:54,843
I just wanted
even things out, so...

19
00:00:54,968 --> 00:00:57,883
And now, it is
three Tika, three Soka,

20
00:00:58,286 --> 00:01:01,375
three Ratu, on one foot
so equal...

21
00:01:01,500 --> 00:01:03,020
It worked perfectly.

22
00:01:03,145 --> 00:01:05,447
In the depths of my soul, I repeated:

23
00:01:05,572 --> 00:01:08,331
"We have to divide the votes,
we have to split the votes."

24
00:01:08,456 --> 00:01:09,594
And we didn't.

25
00:01:09,719 --> 00:01:12,458
- Nobody wanted to listen.
- That's exactly... Yeah.

26
00:01:12,583 --> 00:01:13,453
Finally...

27
00:01:13,578 --> 00:01:16,288
I did not see this vote coming tonight.

28
00:01:16,413 --> 00:01:18,717
My buddy was taken blindsided.

29
00:01:18,842 --> 00:01:22,941
It's not pleasant at all
to lose one of our Ratu members.

30
00:01:23,066 --> 00:01:25,490
It means
our numbers are dwindlin.

31
00:01:25,615 --> 00:01:28,384
Everyone
wanted to split the votes.

32
00:01:28,509 --> 00:01:31,233
- All the...
- And it was Brandon who said no.

33
00:01:31,639 --> 00:01:33,188
- Lesson learned.
- Yeah.

34
00:01:33,313 --> 00:01:36,053
We should have divided the votes,
but we didn't.

35
00:01:36,178 --> 00:01:39,645
But luckily I believe
always be in the majority.

36
00:01:39,770 --> 00:01:41,954
We have the numbers of Ratu

37
00:01:42,079 --> 00:01:44,402
in addition to those of the Tika.

38
00:01:44,527 --> 00:01:47,330
So let's hope
that these bonds remain strong

39
00:01:47,455 --> 00:01:50,708
so that I have a majority
on the next board.

40
00:01:51,153 --> 00:01:53,909
- This must not happen again.
- Oh, I know.

41
00:01:54,034 --> 00:01:56,494
There, we must pass
in "mafia godfather" mode.

42
00:01:56,619 --> 00:02:00,367
The advice happened
exactly as I expected.

43
00:02:00,645 --> 00:02:02,899
The Ratu still believe me with them

44
00:02:03,024 --> 00:02:05,226
because I voted with them
against Frannie.

45
00:02:05,351 --> 00:02:07,259
In fact, I knew from the start

46
00:02:07,384 --> 00:02:09,763
that Danny was going
protect her with her idol.

47
00:02:09,888 --> 00:02:13,079
So: big target eliminated,
no blood on my hands.

48
00:02:13,204 --> 00:02:16,308
I'm fine with both sides.
Good evening for me.

49
00:02:16,433 --> 00:02:18,522
I'm a little James Bond,
You know ?

50
00:02:18,647 --> 00:02:19,858
Double zero zero.

51
00:02:19,983 --> 00:02:21,695
What is it again? Zero seven?

52
00:02:21,820 --> 00:02:23,946
I believe Yam Yam
is our new leader.

53
00:02:24,071 --> 00:02:26,708
What ? Stopped ! No no no !

54
00:02:26,833 --> 00:02:27,836
Look.

55
00:02:28,101 --> 00:02:29,555
Josh, Matt

56
00:02:29,949 --> 00:02:30,840
Brandon,

57
00:02:30,965 --> 00:02:32,499
all voted against me.

58
00:02:32,624 --> 00:02:35,133
And all are gone,
one after the other.

59
00:02:35,258 --> 00:02:37,331
You vote Yam Yam

60
00:02:37,602 --> 00:02:39,988
and you think you can get away with it?

61
00:02:40,113 --> 00:02:41,983
It won't happen, see?

62
00:02:50,971 --> 00:02:53,672
The number one mantra in this game
is: "Don't be too sure of yourself."

63
00:02:53,797 --> 00:02:55,931
- I know.
- Yesterday I felt comfortable.

64
00:02:56,056 --> 00:02:57,991
I thought:
"It's OK to be comfortable."

65
00:02:58,116 --> 00:02:59,816
"I have a majority alliance."

66
00:02:59,941 --> 00:03:02,299
- We believe we are in control.
- And then: "Ha, ha, ha

67
00:03:02,424 --> 00:03:03,941
- Oui.
- I've been fooled.

68
00:03:04,066 --> 00:03:07,308
To be honest,
as soon as Brandon came out,

69
00:03:07,433 --> 00:03:10,815
I did not feel
desperate or betrayed.

70
00:03:11,090 --> 00:03:12,253
But awake.

71
00:03:12,378 --> 00:03:15,031
There is no doubt
a new in-game idol.

72
00:03:15,156 --> 00:03:18,073
The idea is that there are idols
on this beach.

73
00:03:18,198 --> 00:03:20,397
So I went into active mode,

74
00:03:20,522 --> 00:03:22,107
and back to work!

75
00:03:26,056 --> 00:03:30,044
In Dungeons and Dragons, we all play
together against a common enemy.

76
00:03:30,169 --> 00:03:33,541
The common enemy, in Survivor,
that's the big threat.

77
00:03:33,791 --> 00:03:37,149
And Danny becomes a big threat.
He made a big hit,

78
00:03:37,274 --> 00:03:39,854
and i know it will continue
trying to make it,

79
00:03:39,979 --> 00:03:43,156
foot on the accelerator, until
what we get him out of the car.

80
00:03:43,742 --> 00:03:45,731
I could have let Frannie out,

81
00:03:45,856 --> 00:03:47,793
keep the idol, play defense.

82
00:03:47,918 --> 00:03:50,586
But we don't win this game
playing it safe.

83
00:03:50,711 --> 00:03:54,875
You have to leave your comfort zone.
That's my case. I no longer have an idol.

84
00:03:55,000 --> 00:03:57,968
And for sure, my big shot
made me a big target.

85
00:03:58,093 --> 00:04:00,028
So I would like to find another one.

86
00:04:00,914 --> 00:04:03,706
The system will be:
I search five trees,

87
00:04:06,014 --> 00:04:07,804
and I'm bringing wood.

88
00:04:08,917 --> 00:04:11,504
Search five trees,
bring back wood.

89
00:04:12,056 --> 00:04:15,408
Then over time,
I bring back less and less.

90
00:04:15,658 --> 00:04:18,261
Dan! You're good at finding wood.

91
00:04:18,386 --> 00:04:20,153
I am doing my best.

92
00:04:20,958 --> 00:04:22,775
I try to be super subtle,

93
00:04:22,900 --> 00:04:24,308
but in the end,

94
00:04:24,433 --> 00:04:25,835
I do not really care.

95
00:04:25,960 --> 00:04:28,711
The timid phase
looking for idols...

96
00:04:29,403 --> 00:04:31,509
This phase of the game is over.

97
00:04:32,394 --> 00:04:34,444
- He searches all the time.
- Yes.

98
00:04:34,569 --> 00:04:37,009
- I will do the same from now on.
- Yes.

99
00:04:37,134 --> 00:04:39,876
I have to find the idol,
because I want two.

100
00:04:40,001 --> 00:04:42,216
You believe in it ?
I still have my idol!

101
00:04:42,843 --> 00:04:45,096
How can I still
have my idol?!

102
00:04:45,221 --> 00:04:47,850
I'm so happy
to always have my idol!

103
00:04:48,231 --> 00:04:50,836
How can I still
have my idol?! Lord !

104
00:04:53,617 --> 00:04:57,178
Everyone is looking at this point,
It's not a secret.

105
00:04:57,303 --> 00:04:58,841
Everyone digs.

106
00:04:58,966 --> 00:05:00,975
It's active
for a day off.

107
00:05:01,100 --> 00:05:02,901
Absolutely everyone.

108
00:05:04,125 --> 00:05:07,158
- I think Danny found it.
- We don't know.

109
00:05:07,283 --> 00:05:08,785
Is he still looking?

110
00:05:09,554 --> 00:05:10,936
I can't even find it.

111
00:05:11,290 --> 00:05:13,692
find an idol
is a game of chance,

112
00:05:13,817 --> 00:05:15,384
but it's a game of chance

113
00:05:15,509 --> 00:05:17,823
where efforts
can improve your chances.

114
00:05:17,948 --> 00:05:21,025
So my goal is to work
tougher than them.

115
00:05:21,150 --> 00:05:23,308
That's what I intend to do.

116
00:05:33,126 --> 00:05:35,064
Oh my god !

117
00:05:35,648 --> 00:05:37,781
This is the best time so far.

118
00:05:37,906 --> 00:05:40,941
I just found
a hidden immunity idol!

119
00:05:41,066 --> 00:05:43,406
"She can be played
as long as it remains"

120
00:05:43,531 --> 00:05:46,063
"at least five players in play."

121
00:05:46,188 --> 00:05:49,889
I hope you haven't seen me,
because it can be a double-edged sword.

122
00:05:50,014 --> 00:05:52,901
Since I have power,
they're going to come after me

123
00:05:53,026 --> 00:05:54,741
to blow up the idol.

124
00:05:54,866 --> 00:05:57,663
So my plan
is not to tell anyone.

125
00:05:57,788 --> 00:06:00,474
But it's real
and I'm super excited.

126
00:06:00,599 --> 00:06:03,480
This kind of thing, we all dream about it,
I am really happy.

127
00:06:16,908 --> 00:06:19,496
We could play games
like "Veo Veo"?

128
00:06:19,844 --> 00:06:22,398
It plays like this:
you say a letter,

129
00:06:22,523 --> 00:06:25,041
and everyone
must guess what it means.

130
00:06:25,166 --> 00:06:28,785
- Like "I see", with a letter?
- Yes, "Veo Veo" in Spanish.

131
00:06:28,910 --> 00:06:31,743
- So "I see". Start, Frannie.
- OK.

132
00:06:31,868 --> 00:06:34,197
I see something
which starts with "F".

133
00:06:34,322 --> 00:06:35,981
- Frannie!
- No !

134
00:06:36,310 --> 00:06:38,081
- Family.
- No.

135
00:06:38,206 --> 00:06:40,308
After 16 days here,

136
00:06:40,558 --> 00:06:43,408
it's good to have
a day off, you know?

137
00:06:43,758 --> 00:06:46,430
does it really work
to talk, talk, talk,

138
00:06:46,555 --> 00:06:48,019
talk, talk, talk,

139
00:06:48,144 --> 00:06:49,509
talk, talk game?

140
00:06:49,634 --> 00:06:52,057
And we rest when, ever?!

141
00:06:52,182 --> 00:06:53,041
Keep on going.

142
00:06:53,166 --> 00:06:54,436
- Foliage.
- No.

143
00:06:54,561 --> 00:06:55,637
Campfire.

144
00:06:55,762 --> 00:06:56,578
Yes !

145
00:06:56,703 --> 00:06:58,062
- Yeah !
- Campfire !

146
00:06:58,187 --> 00:07:00,149
- Yeah !
- It was quick !

147
00:07:00,274 --> 00:07:01,459
Go ahead, Carolyn.

148
00:07:02,127 --> 00:07:03,453
OK...

149
00:07:04,042 --> 00:07:05,041
"S".

150
00:07:06,118 --> 00:07:07,539
- "Ass"!
- "Ass"?!

151
00:07:07,985 --> 00:07:09,589
- What's the letter?
- "S".

152
00:07:11,430 --> 00:07:13,141
Why are you laughing at me?

153
00:07:13,266 --> 00:07:15,753
Your head ! She's like, "ass"!

154
00:07:15,878 --> 00:07:18,404
We need a speech therapist.

155
00:07:19,042 --> 00:07:20,173
"Esse"!

156
00:07:21,480 --> 00:07:24,568
I don't know
why I pronounce "ass".

157
00:07:25,060 --> 00:07:27,295
Today we had time

158
00:07:27,420 --> 00:07:29,808
just to make connections
between us.

159
00:07:29,933 --> 00:07:32,472
It's my favorite part of the game.

160
00:07:32,597 --> 00:07:35,087
When we are not
purely in the game.

161
00:07:35,212 --> 00:07:37,375
We just got real.

162
00:07:37,860 --> 00:07:39,975
Some already know
my story.

163
00:07:40,100 --> 00:07:42,960
I celebrated 13 years of sobriety
just before coming here.

164
00:07:43,085 --> 00:07:44,961
- Congratulation. It's awesome.
- THANKS.

165
00:07:45,086 --> 00:07:48,343
And I think it's sometimes
hard to understand.

166
00:07:48,468 --> 00:07:51,506
gender for people
who apparently had

167
00:07:51,631 --> 00:07:54,105
a "normal" childhood
a "normal" education:

168
00:07:54,230 --> 00:07:55,855
you can become addicted.

169
00:07:55,980 --> 00:07:59,020
You know, the addiction,
it doesn't make a difference.

170
00:07:59,145 --> 00:08:01,942
I am an open book
in real life and here.

171
00:08:02,067 --> 00:08:04,661
And my addiction
is part of my story.

172
00:08:04,786 --> 00:08:08,019
It's not something anymore
of which I am ashamed.

173
00:08:08,144 --> 00:08:11,564
It's a part of me, that made
of me what I am today,

174
00:08:11,689 --> 00:08:14,232
The concern that, like...

175
00:08:15,003 --> 00:08:16,958
Who comes with, like...

176
00:08:17,083 --> 00:08:19,393
- "I have to drink first.", or...
- Yes.

177
00:08:20,306 --> 00:08:23,008
It takes up so much space

178
00:08:23,133 --> 00:08:24,958
it's so exhausting...

179
00:08:25,083 --> 00:08:28,196
I fucked up, I did a lot
mistakes, but...

180
00:08:28,466 --> 00:08:31,452
It was not me.
But I didn't know who I was.

181
00:08:31,577 --> 00:08:34,008
So by getting sober,
following the treatment,

182
00:08:34,133 --> 00:08:35,993
I started enjoying my life.

183
00:08:36,118 --> 00:08:39,304
Then I met my fiancé at
a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous,

184
00:08:39,429 --> 00:08:42,589
- Who came out of it too.
- Yes, but it was really...

185
00:08:42,714 --> 00:08:43,763
From.

186
00:08:44,014 --> 00:08:45,989
Yes, I'm super proud of myself.

187
00:08:46,243 --> 00:08:47,913
I never thought I would have

188
00:08:48,038 --> 00:08:51,066
you know, a family,
this wonderful son, and...

189
00:08:51,842 --> 00:08:55,320
All. I look at my house,
I'm decorating it for Halloween,

190
00:08:55,741 --> 00:08:57,448
and she's creepy to death,

191
00:08:57,573 --> 00:09:00,119
but that's all
what I wanted, like...

192
00:09:01,964 --> 00:09:04,108
I have everything I need.

193
00:09:04,233 --> 00:09:06,908
what we are
both happy

194
00:09:07,033 --> 00:09:09,641
is that our son
will never have to see us

195
00:09:09,766 --> 00:09:12,308
alcoholics,
he sees the "healed" side.

196
00:09:12,433 --> 00:09:15,658
And like, I can get up one
Sunday, we can go to church,

197
00:09:15,783 --> 00:09:19,076
we can do what we want,
without it being a fight

198
00:09:19,201 --> 00:09:21,308
to get up, get out of bed.

199
00:09:21,433 --> 00:09:24,622
We feel better, and I can
just be present.

200
00:09:24,747 --> 00:09:26,087
I love Carolyn.

201
00:09:26,375 --> 00:09:28,608
She is so herself!

202
00:09:28,733 --> 00:09:31,694
This is the kind of people
that I want to visit,

203
00:09:31,819 --> 00:09:33,899
because I'm trying to work on it.

204
00:09:34,024 --> 00:09:37,441
be more myself,
agree to be weird.

205
00:09:37,566 --> 00:09:41,408
And I look at Carolyn and think to myself:
"She can teach me a lot!"

206
00:09:41,533 --> 00:09:43,678
Who has ever felt left out?

207
00:09:43,803 --> 00:09:45,693
- All of us, I think.
- All of us!

208
00:09:45,818 --> 00:09:48,300
It doesn't matter where you come from,
never mind

209
00:09:48,425 --> 00:09:50,408
if you're pretty in makeup.

210
00:09:50,533 --> 00:09:52,176
- Yes.
- We've all been there.

211
00:09:52,301 --> 00:09:54,608
It's crazy, every day
I am more assured.

212
00:09:54,733 --> 00:09:57,003
When I came here,
they all said:

213
00:09:57,128 --> 00:09:59,126
"I don't know if we can
work with her."

214
00:09:59,251 --> 00:10:01,809
- How are my teeth?
- Beautiful.

215
00:10:01,934 --> 00:10:05,482
So, now,
people don't suspect anything.

216
00:10:05,607 --> 00:10:07,441
They think I've been dumped.

217
00:10:07,566 --> 00:10:09,939
It itches. It itches.
I can not. I can not.

218
00:10:10,064 --> 00:10:11,219
I have to put this.

219
00:10:11,344 --> 00:10:13,887
I had to overtake
my lack of self-confidence

220
00:10:14,012 --> 00:10:16,195
and I don't care a bit

221
00:10:16,320 --> 00:10:18,289
how people see me, or...

222
00:10:18,414 --> 00:10:20,379
Because I can't control it.

223
00:10:20,504 --> 00:10:22,244
And then, in part...

224
00:10:22,369 --> 00:10:25,227
I want them to think
that I don't know what I'm doing.

225
00:10:25,905 --> 00:10:28,641
Am I having fun? Of course !

226
00:10:28,766 --> 00:10:30,039
It's scary.

227
00:10:30,818 --> 00:10:34,075
But I want them to think
that I prefer to have fun

228
00:10:34,200 --> 00:10:36,308
than being in the strategy.

229
00:10:36,433 --> 00:10:37,814
But I'm here to play.

230
00:10:37,939 --> 00:10:40,541
And I don't care, I go all out
without holding anything back.

231
00:10:40,666 --> 00:10:42,368
I promised it to my son.

232
00:11:00,239 --> 00:11:04,575
This morning I was more tired
than last night at bedtime.

233
00:11:05,070 --> 00:11:08,307
The last days,
about how I feel,

234
00:11:08,432 --> 00:11:10,096
it's a roller coaster.

235
00:11:10,221 --> 00:11:13,335
But at least I no longer have
want to vomit all the time.

236
00:11:13,855 --> 00:11:15,728
- How are you ?
- Yeah, like...

237
00:11:16,145 --> 00:11:18,454
I think... I don't have any more
stomach ache.

238
00:11:18,876 --> 00:11:22,408
For the moment. But my level
of energy is super low.

239
00:11:22,988 --> 00:11:25,125
- Oh, yum! Carson?
- Did you poop?

240
00:11:25,250 --> 00:11:26,532
Do you want the end?

241
00:11:26,657 --> 00:11:28,451
Yes, coconut juice contains

242
00:11:28,576 --> 00:11:30,406
electrolytes and sugar.

243
00:11:30,531 --> 00:11:32,308
We are really hungry.

244
00:11:32,433 --> 00:11:33,859
As far as I'm concerned,

245
00:11:33,984 --> 00:11:36,725
I haven't eaten anything for days.

246
00:11:36,850 --> 00:11:39,608
So there is nothing in my body.

247
00:11:39,733 --> 00:11:41,419
Are we trying to make it crispy?

248
00:11:41,544 --> 00:11:44,752
Yes, much finer, that we feel more
the taste, because I can't take it anymore.

249
00:11:44,877 --> 00:11:48,239
Like, we find each other
an unripe papaya, and...

250
00:11:48,654 --> 00:11:51,612
We cook it, we char it,
and it's pretty gross.

251
00:11:51,737 --> 00:11:55,698
And we have quite a few coconuts.
So we are really starving.

252
00:11:55,823 --> 00:11:59,375
But I signed up for it,
I knew it would be awful.

253
00:11:59,500 --> 00:12:02,041
It's like that. It's Survivor.

254
00:12:02,166 --> 00:12:04,034
We have mail!

255
00:12:04,794 --> 00:12:05,619
Cool !

256
00:12:05,744 --> 00:12:07,013
- Awesome !
- Badaboum!

257
00:12:07,138 --> 00:12:08,615
- Ready?
- Come on !

258
00:12:09,491 --> 00:12:12,241
"This test
is relatively painless."

259
00:12:12,366 --> 00:12:14,520
"Unless you have
really want rice."

260
00:12:14,645 --> 00:12:15,499
My God !

261
00:12:15,624 --> 00:12:17,892
"For you will feel the burn"

262
00:12:18,207 --> 00:12:20,330
"when you negotiate the price."

263
00:12:20,826 --> 00:12:22,991
This morning the letter mentioned

264
00:12:23,116 --> 00:12:25,973
that we could negotiate rice.

265
00:12:26,098 --> 00:12:30,084
So, as we have seen
in previous seasons,

266
00:12:30,381 --> 00:12:32,379
we need to have enough people

267
00:12:32,504 --> 00:12:34,934
ready to give up
to dispute immunity

268
00:12:35,059 --> 00:12:36,241
to have this rice.

269
00:12:36,366 --> 00:12:38,345
Are there any volunteers ?

270
00:12:40,537 --> 00:12:43,978
I couldn't even really
contest for immunity.

271
00:12:44,103 --> 00:12:45,875
- So I want to.
- Yes.

272
00:12:46,000 --> 00:12:47,651
But I'm also very hungry.

273
00:12:47,776 --> 00:12:50,435
If seeing her, I don't think
to be able to succeed,

274
00:12:50,560 --> 00:12:53,519
- I could...
- Yes, we can see on the spot.

275
00:12:53,922 --> 00:12:55,945
There's this absurd idea in the air

276
00:12:56,070 --> 00:12:59,208
that some will give up
at the immunity test, for rice.

277
00:12:59,333 --> 00:13:03,147
It bothers me to hear that. I would like
be somewhere else when they talk about it.

278
00:13:03,272 --> 00:13:04,963
We're here to play Survivor.

279
00:13:05,088 --> 00:13:06,897
You can last 30 days without eating.

280
00:13:07,022 --> 00:13:10,008
- I'll see, it's...
- I'm hungry, but... No.

281
00:13:10,133 --> 00:13:11,888
Let's call a spade a spade.

282
00:13:12,013 --> 00:13:13,356
We are 3 - 3 - 3.

283
00:13:13,677 --> 00:13:17,175
We are all relatively
tied, so... let's play.

284
00:13:17,624 --> 00:13:20,091
At this point, there are three members

285
00:13:20,216 --> 00:13:22,159
of each original tribe.

286
00:13:22,402 --> 00:13:26,148
And the Tikas float a little
in the middle, it seems.

287
00:13:26,584 --> 00:13:30,443
So I'm not sure
may the Tika be with us.

288
00:13:30,568 --> 00:13:32,842
So I'm not ready
to make this sacrifice.

289
00:13:32,967 --> 00:13:34,468
Let's be the season that says:

290
00:13:34,593 --> 00:13:35,990
- "We play."
- Yes.

291
00:13:36,115 --> 00:13:37,371
Let's be this season.

292
00:13:37,693 --> 00:13:40,081
I don't believe anyone
doesn't want to give up.

293
00:13:40,206 --> 00:13:43,226
The people of this tribe
are all for the idea

294
00:13:43,351 --> 00:13:45,192
not to give up the test.

295
00:13:45,317 --> 00:13:47,575
So we'll see
what will happen, but...

296
00:13:47,816 --> 00:13:49,049
I'm hungry !

297
00:14:00,569 --> 00:14:01,738
Approach!

298
00:14:13,385 --> 00:14:14,980
There, it's Survivor!

299
00:14:16,204 --> 00:14:18,275
There you know
how good you are here!

300
00:14:18,400 --> 00:14:20,308
A good dose of rain.

301
00:14:21,190 --> 00:14:23,490
Some people are already shaking.

302
00:14:25,595 --> 00:14:26,671
GOOD.

303
00:14:26,977 --> 00:14:29,425
do we attack
the immunity test of the day?

304
00:14:29,550 --> 00:14:31,057
First of all, Lauren,

305
00:14:31,182 --> 00:14:33,741
I have to take the necklace back.
I know...

306
00:14:34,090 --> 00:14:35,694
You can win it back.

307
00:14:38,497 --> 00:14:41,275
One more time,
immunity is challenged.

308
00:14:41,641 --> 00:14:45,108
Today you will stand
standing on a small block

309
00:14:45,233 --> 00:14:48,353
while holding a ball
against an overhanging bar.

310
00:14:48,478 --> 00:14:50,774
If at any time
the ball falls

311
00:14:51,205 --> 00:14:53,862
or if you fall off the plot,
it's lost.

312
00:14:53,987 --> 00:14:56,115
The last person to hold
gain immunity,

313
00:14:56,240 --> 00:14:58,489
secure a spot
in the last eight.

314
00:14:58,867 --> 00:15:02,409
The losers: on the board,
a tenth person

315
00:15:02,534 --> 00:15:05,191
will be eliminated,
the third member of the jury.

316
00:15:05,753 --> 00:15:07,858
This morning you received a letter

317
00:15:07,983 --> 00:15:10,069
saying that you would have the opportunity

318
00:15:10,194 --> 00:15:13,486
to give up participating in the test
and gain immunity

319
00:15:13,611 --> 00:15:16,075
in exchange for rice for the tribe.

320
00:15:16,200 --> 00:15:19,804
Have you discussed it? Are you
interested in negotiating for rice?

321
00:15:20,284 --> 00:15:23,533
We discussed it, but I would like
hear a lot, now,

322
00:15:23,658 --> 00:15:26,603
given the conditions and all that,
to see

323
00:15:26,728 --> 00:15:29,107
if anyone changed their mind.

324
00:15:32,554 --> 00:15:35,531
- I give up, if others too.
- I give up. I give up.

325
00:15:35,656 --> 00:15:37,961
So two people?
Someone else ?

326
00:15:38,086 --> 00:15:39,845
- Please !
- Someone ?

327
00:15:39,970 --> 00:15:42,786
We have Carson and Lauren.
I want four.

328
00:15:43,048 --> 00:15:45,797
Four is the number.
You have half of it.

329
00:15:47,743 --> 00:15:49,162
Kane, let's talk about it.

330
00:15:49,287 --> 00:15:52,608
Because the concept of this negotiation
is really simple.

331
00:15:52,733 --> 00:15:55,569
Will people give up
to the most important thing in the game,

332
00:15:55,694 --> 00:15:57,348
a chance of immunity,

333
00:15:57,473 --> 00:15:59,523
for the tribe to have rice?

334
00:15:59,648 --> 00:16:03,275
Because we can easily say: "We
will not vote against you four."

335
00:16:03,425 --> 00:16:06,107
Yes, it's a question of balance,

336
00:16:06,232 --> 00:16:08,017
between trust and competition.

337
00:16:08,142 --> 00:16:11,578
And I believe that if the last vote
had turned out as I thought,

338
00:16:11,703 --> 00:16:14,048
I would have been more inclined
give up, but...

339
00:16:14,173 --> 00:16:16,724
I am not sure
that four people will be.

340
00:16:17,080 --> 00:16:19,374
I will not vote
for those who give up.

341
00:16:19,692 --> 00:16:20,541
No ?

342
00:16:20,666 --> 00:16:21,871
- No.
- OK.

343
00:16:22,770 --> 00:16:23,865
Me neither.

344
00:16:23,990 --> 00:16:26,515
- Well, I'm in, but...
- Me neither.

345
00:16:26,923 --> 00:16:30,038
OK. Danny says, "I won't vote
against you if you give up."

346
00:16:30,163 --> 00:16:33,097
- Carolyn, did you say that too?
- I won't.

347
00:16:33,662 --> 00:16:35,375
Yeah, Scout's word.

348
00:16:37,309 --> 00:16:38,708
I will be the third.

349
00:16:38,833 --> 00:16:41,575
Three with Kane.
Only one person is missing.

350
00:16:41,700 --> 00:16:43,386
I can't, I can't.

351
00:16:43,938 --> 00:16:45,381
I'm not giving up.

352
00:16:48,297 --> 00:16:49,484
Nobody else ?

353
00:16:49,934 --> 00:16:52,494
- The rain won't stop.
- I didn't hear your name.

354
00:16:52,619 --> 00:16:54,747
- No?
- Might as well get started, and you can

355
00:16:54,872 --> 00:16:57,308
return to shelter under the tarp.

356
00:16:57,433 --> 00:16:58,659
- Good.
- Yes ?

357
00:16:58,784 --> 00:16:59,675
What ?

358
00:16:59,800 --> 00:17:01,028
Wait.

359
00:17:02,222 --> 00:17:04,309
- Please !
- Are you doing it, Jaime?

360
00:17:07,820 --> 00:17:09,772
Don't do it if you hesitate. Cheek.

361
00:17:12,452 --> 00:17:13,806
It's just too...

362
00:17:13,931 --> 00:17:16,597
It's too big a risk
at this stage of the game.

363
00:17:17,609 --> 00:17:20,508
Should I?
I do ! I am the fourth!

364
00:17:21,180 --> 00:17:23,777
OK, so we have Carson, Heidi,

365
00:17:23,902 --> 00:17:25,622
Kane and Lauren.

366
00:17:25,747 --> 00:17:29,575
Wow, I didn't see
this negotiation will end like this.

367
00:17:29,700 --> 00:17:31,575
All four, sit down there.

368
00:17:31,700 --> 00:17:34,588
Let's see who accepted
to sacrifice themselves.

369
00:17:35,341 --> 00:17:36,975
For the community.

370
00:17:37,100 --> 00:17:39,918
Almost half of the tribe
give up a chance

371
00:17:40,043 --> 00:17:41,841
to have certainty tonight

372
00:17:41,966 --> 00:17:44,876
- in exchange for a big bag of rice...
- Give it all!

373
00:17:45,001 --> 00:17:47,956
... who will be waiting for you at the camp,
well dry.

374
00:17:48,272 --> 00:17:50,859
We raffle places
and we get to it. Let's go !

375
00:17:57,300 --> 00:17:58,283
GOOD.

376
00:17:58,636 --> 00:18:00,775
Everyone get in place.

377
00:18:01,176 --> 00:18:03,859
You cannot put
only one foot on the plot.

378
00:18:03,984 --> 00:18:06,877
Your second foot
will therefore be on the first.

379
00:18:07,629 --> 00:18:11,014
Grasp the handles.
Stick the ball up there.

380
00:18:11,774 --> 00:18:13,563
And it will be gone.

381
00:18:18,193 --> 00:18:20,818
Good. Everyone looks good.

382
00:18:22,033 --> 00:18:24,708
This test is on.

383
00:18:26,328 --> 00:18:28,238
Five people participate.

384
00:18:28,363 --> 00:18:30,396
Four gave up for rice.

385
00:18:30,521 --> 00:18:31,750
There is Frannie,

386
00:18:31,875 --> 00:18:32,854
I like,

387
00:18:32,979 --> 00:18:34,013
Yam Yam

388
00:18:34,138 --> 00:18:35,945
Danny and Carolyn.

389
00:18:36,070 --> 00:18:39,390
It's already a very difficult ordeal

390
00:18:39,515 --> 00:18:41,198
when it's dry.

391
00:18:41,323 --> 00:18:43,490
Especially when it rains.

392
00:18:43,898 --> 00:18:45,998
It wets the ball.

393
00:18:48,711 --> 00:18:50,144
Oh my God!

394
00:18:50,269 --> 00:18:52,730
You are in balance
on a small plot,

395
00:18:52,855 --> 00:18:56,301
knowing that the second foot
must not touch the stud,

396
00:18:56,426 --> 00:18:57,940
- or it's lost.
- Lord !

397
00:18:58,065 --> 00:18:59,972
There will be no gifts.

398
00:19:00,650 --> 00:19:04,165
Carolyn hangs on.
The balance on the plot is hard.

399
00:19:06,505 --> 00:19:08,232
Carolyn is the first eliminated.

400
00:19:08,926 --> 00:19:11,105
- Bravo, Carolyn.
- It doesn't matter.

401
00:19:11,230 --> 00:19:13,854
- She didn't want to give up.
- I tried.

402
00:19:15,138 --> 00:19:18,366
Jaime is eliminated. At once,
you are only three.

403
00:19:19,060 --> 00:19:22,008
- No big deal, Jaime.
- Frannie remains,

404
00:19:22,133 --> 00:19:24,068
Yam Yam and Danny.

405
00:19:25,028 --> 00:19:28,246
Very nice job.
It is a difficult test.

406
00:19:29,622 --> 00:19:32,085
You saw how fast
it can end.

407
00:19:32,345 --> 00:19:34,969
Jaime barely moved
and the ball is gone.

408
00:19:40,877 --> 00:19:44,775
As in any event, stay
focused on what you do.

409
00:19:47,138 --> 00:19:49,855
It takes
full concentration.

410
00:19:51,182 --> 00:19:55,241
Small muscles hold you down
in place, try to stabilize you.

411
00:19:56,958 --> 00:19:58,799
Yam Yam loses his ball.

412
00:19:59,325 --> 00:20:02,875
Yam Yam is eliminated. Done
watch out for Danny on the way down.

413
00:20:03,214 --> 00:20:06,141
We have a duel
between Frannie and Danny.

414
00:20:08,173 --> 00:20:10,649
Frannie has been in a duel before.

415
00:20:10,774 --> 00:20:14,408
She won the previous one.
Can she do it again?

416
00:20:14,808 --> 00:20:17,832
Or will Danny win
this time ?

417
00:20:18,890 --> 00:20:22,070
You've been holding on now
five minutes.

418
00:20:23,293 --> 00:20:26,415
That is to say if it is hard.
I know it seems like more.

419
00:20:26,540 --> 00:20:28,375
Keep fighting!

420
00:20:28,625 --> 00:20:31,275
She's shaking. Look at his feet.

421
00:20:34,635 --> 00:20:37,431
Try to control your body,
don't let it control you.

422
00:20:37,556 --> 00:20:39,277
I know you're cold too.

423
00:20:39,402 --> 00:20:41,192
This rain is terrible.

424
00:20:41,962 --> 00:20:44,408
Just discomfort.
Disregard it!

425
00:20:44,533 --> 00:20:46,966
It's part of the test
what is Survivor.

426
00:20:47,091 --> 00:20:48,775
What do you have in the tank?

427
00:20:48,900 --> 00:20:51,908
- Breathe, Frannie, breathe!
- You want the necklace!

428
00:20:52,301 --> 00:20:53,875
You rock, Frannie.

429
00:20:54,739 --> 00:20:56,316
Focus, Frank!

430
00:21:01,211 --> 00:21:03,734
It oscillates a little with Danny,
which is recovering well.

431
00:21:05,634 --> 00:21:07,461
The rain intensifies.

432
00:21:14,796 --> 00:21:17,123
Fight! I know you are cold.

433
00:21:18,351 --> 00:21:20,160
Take control of it.

434
00:21:20,511 --> 00:21:22,375
You are warriors.

435
00:21:28,160 --> 00:21:31,051
Nice recovery from Frannie.
That's how we do it!

436
00:21:31,176 --> 00:21:34,167
If it wobbles a bit,
you regain control.

437
00:21:34,952 --> 00:21:36,334
Small adjustments.

438
00:21:47,875 --> 00:21:49,276
Danny loses his ball!

439
00:21:49,522 --> 00:21:51,599
Frannie wins her second

440
00:21:51,724 --> 00:21:54,814
individual immunity
of Survivor 44!

441
00:21:54,939 --> 00:21:56,465
- Well done, Frannie!
- Cheer !

442
00:21:56,753 --> 00:21:57,550
Wow!

443
00:21:57,675 --> 00:22:00,008
- A new super performance.
- Well done, that was tough.

444
00:22:00,714 --> 00:22:01,633
Take a dump !

445
00:22:01,993 --> 00:22:04,066
- Well done, Frannie!
- Well done, Frank!

446
00:22:07,416 --> 00:22:08,696
Frannie, come here.

447
00:22:11,098 --> 00:22:12,776
- Congratulation.
- THANKS.

448
00:22:12,901 --> 00:22:15,136
Second victory in immunity.

449
00:22:15,261 --> 00:22:17,446
Again,
you are safe at the council,

450
00:22:17,571 --> 00:22:21,092
cannot be eliminated,
guaranteed to be in the last 8.

451
00:22:21,217 --> 00:22:23,575
As for you others,
this evening, at the council,

452
00:22:23,700 --> 00:22:27,051
someone will be the tenth person
eliminated, third member of the jury.

453
00:22:27,176 --> 00:22:29,269
The good news, if there is one:

454
00:22:29,394 --> 00:22:31,592
you return to a camp
who has a tarp,

455
00:22:31,717 --> 00:22:34,374
and, thanks to four
of you, a lot of rice.

456
00:22:34,499 --> 00:22:36,442
Take your things, leave.
See you tonight.

457
00:22:36,567 --> 00:22:37,628
- Cheer.
- THANKS.

458
00:22:37,753 --> 00:22:38,568
Cheer.

459
00:22:38,693 --> 00:22:39,725
- THANKS.
- Cheer.

460
00:22:39,850 --> 00:22:43,375
I never imagined
to be as good in the tests.

461
00:22:43,500 --> 00:22:46,119
When landing on the beach,
first day,

462
00:22:46,244 --> 00:22:49,751
I looked around and thought:
"I am the weakest woman."

463
00:22:49,876 --> 00:22:53,182
So face it, guys
among the strongest here

464
00:22:53,307 --> 00:22:56,855
and tear everything apart in these trials,
It's nice.

465
00:23:04,076 --> 00:23:06,047
This adventure
could be yours!

466
00:23:06,172 --> 00:23:08,370
Postulez à Survivor !

467
00:23:15,107 --> 00:23:16,517
Nice job, Frannie.

468
00:23:16,642 --> 00:23:18,103
It was hard.

469
00:23:18,823 --> 00:23:20,690
Raw mode again!

470
00:23:21,268 --> 00:23:24,008
- Is that our rice?
- Yeah!

471
00:23:25,453 --> 00:23:27,256
You're so happy!

472
00:23:28,358 --> 00:23:31,770
On trial, four of us
gave up for rice.

473
00:23:32,187 --> 00:23:35,469
It was super risky. But
I thought, "I don't care."

474
00:23:35,594 --> 00:23:37,931
I can finally eat rice,

475
00:23:38,056 --> 00:23:40,741
and it's awesome!

476
00:23:40,866 --> 00:23:43,145
Oh, this is going to be so good!

477
00:23:43,368 --> 00:23:45,010
Oh my God!

478
00:23:45,135 --> 00:23:46,308
A real feast!

479
00:23:46,433 --> 00:23:48,243
- Glad we gave up.
- Yes.

480
00:23:48,905 --> 00:23:50,998
I don't think I would have won.

481
00:23:51,123 --> 00:23:53,441
So giving up made sense.

482
00:23:53,566 --> 00:23:57,808
And, good news: those who have
renounced will not be targeted tonight.

483
00:23:58,580 --> 00:23:59,753
Yes of course.

484
00:24:00,078 --> 00:24:03,212
Danny gave his scout word
that he won't vote against me

485
00:24:03,337 --> 00:24:07,041
while he has totally
shot my plan at the last board.

486
00:24:07,166 --> 00:24:10,975
So the word of these people
has no value to me.

487
00:24:11,100 --> 00:24:14,108
I'm super grateful.
Thanks a lot friends.

488
00:24:14,233 --> 00:24:17,769
Eating rice woke me up.
Now I'm ready to play.

489
00:24:17,894 --> 00:24:20,987
But therein lies the danger: everyone
is like that now.

490
00:24:21,518 --> 00:24:25,051
Fortunately, there is a war
between Ratu and Soka.

491
00:24:25,509 --> 00:24:28,275
And I'm in the middle
with Carson and Carolyn.

492
00:24:28,400 --> 00:24:30,064
What do you want to do tonight?

493
00:24:30,364 --> 00:24:31,680
I do not care.

494
00:24:31,805 --> 00:24:34,583
I believe we have
the majority, right?

495
00:24:35,167 --> 00:24:36,941
Upon our return to camp,

496
00:24:37,066 --> 00:24:40,108
the Tikas were ready
to work with us.
four hundred ninety seven
00:24:40,233 --> 00:24:42,454
I thought, "Thank God!"
Because the Ratu,
498
0
