welcome to our fifth lesson

we are gonna study today about faith in God part 2.

last time we saw faith in God part 1

and I wanna continue with this

I want you to open your Bible

in the book of Mark chapter 11

verse 22 to verse 24

and it says like that:

so Jesus answered and say to them:

have faith in God

for assuredly I say to you

whoever says to this mountain

be removed and be cast into the sea

and does not doubt in his heart,

but believe that those things he says will be done

he will have

whatever he says;

therefore I say to you

whatever things you ask when you pray

believe that you receive them

and you will have them.

what a powerful verse of the Bible

that shows us that whatever we want to reach in faith

we can accomplish it!

look what it says, it says

believe that those things he says will be done

and he will have it.

whatever he says

of course all of these is according to the will of God

but this open for you a door in front of your life

when wherever you want to go

wherever you want to reach

or whatever you want to accomplish in your life

can become true!

imagine that I come and I tell you

like every dream that you have in your

in your mind

of course speaking in Christianity

every dream that you have for your family

and every dream that you have for your business

it can be accomplished

only if you believe that it can be accomplished.

Jesus here is carrying

the power in his hands and

giving it to the people

and telling them

this power is called faith

whatever you ask Him with faith

and you don't doubt about it

you will receive it!

James 2:14-16

explain us about how to apply faith

and in conclusion it says

faith without work is dead.

so faith is not only an emotion

that we have according to something

is not only a desire

that we have according to something

faith is the action that we take

when we believe that something is going to happen.

I was telling the people last time

that faith is not creating a new reality

or imagining

or imagining another reality, faith

it's bringing the reality of God to our life

it's something that is there

and we bring it in the spiritual atmosphere

we bring it to our life

in a door that calls faith.

now we can make this question:

what I can get by faith?

the first thing is: salvation

the Bible says in Ephesians 2

verse 8 to 9

for it's by grace

you have been saved,

through faith, and this is not from yourselves,

it is the gift of god

not by works,

so that no one can boast.

so what God is speaking to you through His word

He's telling you that it's by faith that we get saved

through the grace that has been giving to us by Christ.

so is not by works.

I cannot do anything to win

or to get salvation

that's not how it works

in the kingdom of God

it's about

it's about confessing with our mouths

and believing in our hearts

that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Now, this is not something that we do once in our life

people think that if one time

I confess Jesus Christ with my mouth

and I believe in my heart

that's it, I'm save! no

the Bible says

confess with your mouth!

doesn't says

confess one time with your mouth.

it's a style

of life that we need to have

confessing in our mouth.

that's why there is people in other countries that

when they put a gun in their heads

and they tell them

just says that you do not believe

in Jesus Christ!

they can say: no, I don't.

and go alive to their houses

but they say yes

and after that they get

murder by those

by those assessing people

but what happened?

they are confessing in every time

in every moment

my question for you is

are you confessing Jesus

in every time?

are you confessing Jesus in front of your friends?

are you confessing Jesus in front of your family?

or is just in your room

when you pray alone

do you confess Jesus in your work?

do you confess Jesus

in a meeting

when everyone is laughing about Christianity?

and everyone is laughing about the concept of God

in Jesus Christ

are you able to confess Jesus in front of them?

or you get shy

or you hide

and you says oh,

let me say it to you in this way

you hide inside of your excuses?

no, I don't need to say that

I'm Christian

it's okay they are gonna laugh at me!, no!

we have been called

to confess Jesus

in every place where we are

and salvation is something that we

earn in our life by faith

the Bible says that those who

those who come to God

they need to believe that God exist

and they will find it.

so if you're going to come closer to God

you need to have faith

believing that God exist

and you will find it.

the second thing that we

can get by faith

its fullness

and miracles!

Galatians 3:5

says therefore

He who supplies the Spirit to you

and works miracle among you,

does He do it by the works of the law,

or by the hearing of faith?

look what it says

supplies the Spirit to you and do

or works miracles among you

when you believe in God

when you believe to God

through faith

you can get miracles in your life

you can see wonders

you can see sign

and this is exciting because me

as a pastor

I have seen many examples

of miracles

in front of my eyes

last week I was in a big big event

more than 20

40,000 people

and when the main pastor prayed,

by hundreds

people start to come

to the stage

all of them healed

and you see the miracles

in front of your eyes

we had doctors next to us

we have a team of Pastors

and we have a team

that verified

that every miracle is true

and you see the doctors

getting amazed

because they had the old test

and now they see the new test

and those people were healed.

but this is not something

that you need to see

or watch in a TV

this is something

that you can apply

for your life

when you believe in god

for a miracle

God will insert

His hand in your life

will insert

His hands in

your family

will insert His hand

in your business

and he will make a miracle

that you cannot do!

but you need to have faith

that He can do it.

the third thing

that we see

through faith

or we can get

through faith

it's healing

James 5:15 says

And the prayer of faith

will save the sick,

and the Lord

will raise him up

and if he has

committed sins,

he will be forgiven.

so when you

act by faith

any disease

any sickness

in your life

can disappear

by the power of God!

I personally

as a pastor

I have some

testimonies

about how I

pray for people

and they get healed

even in my life

let me tell you this

this is maybe

one of the craziest thing

that I have done in my life

but when I was a child

I don't know 9

10 maybe 12

years old.

one of the things that I most

hate in my life

is to have

nasal congestion

by mucus or a cold

and that day

I had nasal congestion

and I had a sore throat

those are the

two things that I

hate too much

first one sore throat

then

nasal congestion

but I was so

bothered by this

and I remembered

the verse of

the Bible that says

whatever you

ask in faith

you will receive

I start to pray to God

to pray to God

God don't let me sleep like that

maybe it's something

simple for you or

or something

basic for you

or is just a cold

but for me was a

decisive day!

and you'll see why

because I start to pray

and I start to pray

and I start to pray

and nothing happened

and I say well

let me see if my faith

works or not

so I put one hand

in my mouth

to close my mouth

and my nose

was completely closed

so I couldn't breathe

by my nose, so

I just left my

my hand in my mouth

and I say well

there is two

options here,

or I die or God's

open my nose.

and for me now

it's something that

makes me laugh

and I don't think

I will do it now

but when I was a

kid I say well

I'm gonna get crazy

but I'm gonna do it

I close my mouth

and I start to count

10 seconds 11 seconds

12 second

I was so desperate

to take my hand

out f my mouth because

I was dying

I was getting

another color in my face

but suddenly my

my nose is open

and I could

breathe normally

and when I take

out my hand

from my mouth

my sore throat

was gone tto, so

even if it's a

simple miracle

when I act by faith

I saw the hand

of God healing me

and I have many

other big

testimonies

that I can share with

you but why

I'm sharing

this one with

you, it's because

the Bible says

that if we do

not believe

as the kids believe,

and that take me

to the moment

when I was kid

and I did this

crazy act that

I don't think

I will do now

but why I wouldn't do now

because now

my logic is

fighting with my faith

when I was a kid

I didn't have

too much logic

and my faith

was pure but

when we grow up

we start to

see our faith

fighting with our logic

why? because

the logic is

start to complain

and start to

give you ideas

why faith will

not work, because

you start to

walk by what

you're seeing

and not by the

reality of God

that he wants to bring

to your life.

The fourth thing

that you can

get by faith

is the ability

to face challenges.

there is this power that can push you

when you are passing through a hard time

and that powers called faith.

look what the Bible says in Matthew chapter 14

verse 28 to 31 it says

and Peter answered Him and said, "Lord

if it's You,

command me to come to You on the water."

so He said ,"Come."

and when Peter had come down out of the boat,

he walked on the water to go to Jesus.

but when he saw that the wind was boisterous,

he was afraid;

and beginning to sink

he cried out, saying,

"Lord, save me!"

and immediately

Jesus stretch out His hand

and caught him,

and said to him,

“O you of little faith,

why did you doubt?

you know this is one of the passage that we must know

in the Bible

Peter walking upon the waters

and we know that Peter start to sink into the water

because he start to doubt

about the power that was given to him

the ability to walk upon the waters

and it's something common for us

but to be honest

in this moment

we does this in our life

more times than what we think

when we are walking in our life

we doubt so much about so many things

that we are even worse than Peter walking on the waters.

A bad day in your work

make you doubt about the whole week.

A bad week make you doubt about the whole month,

and a bad month make you doubt about

your whole life.

why? because we are always testing thing by results

if I had a good day,

God is blessing me.

if I have a bad day,

God has left me.

we are always measuring everything by results

and not by faith

what is the difference

the difference is that when you walk by faith

you can have a bad day

you can have a bad day at work

and still believe

that God will prosper you in the next time.

and that can happen

because God can change everything in one moment

so when you get this faith in God

that can help you

to push you everyday

to change your mind

to overcome the problems

to go against

the river that is attacking your life

it's a faith that can push you to do more

and I want to encourage you to believe

that the situations that you are living now

they are not there to make you sink into the water

the situations that are you living now

they are there to make you take out this faith

that God has put inside of you

so you can overcome them

and keep walking

but in a new levels!

another thing

that faith can gives you are answers from God

1 John 5:14 says

now this is the confidence that we have in Him,

that if we ask anything according to His will,

He hear us. You need to know,

well God has been working this part in my life too much,

you need to know that every time that you ask God

for something

He is hearing you!

He is there

hearing

what you're saying

now my problem is,

or your problem can be,

if you really believe that he is hearing you?

that can be a problem.

and God have proved to me in many ways

that even the smallest thought that I can have

He's hearing it

and sometimes he answer quicker than I thought

sometimes he takes more time

but the important thing is to believe in every time

that He is hearing us.

and one of the last thing that faith can give you

its prosperity!

Matthew 6:33 says

But seek first the kingdom of God

and His righteousness

and all these things shall be added to you.

When you see the context of Matthew 6

and, you can read from verse 25 to verse 34

it's showing you that

everything that you need in life

God can give it to you!

He can prosper you

He can bless you

but you need to seek first the kingdom of God

I was asking the church some days ago

what is the first thing that you seek every day

when you wake up in the morning?

what is the first thing that you seek?

your phone

the last thing that you do is to pray

after you get ready

after you eat

after you shower

after you speak to your girlfriend

to your boyfriend

to your husband

to your family

after you do everything

before you go out from home

you make a little prayers, if you have time to do it

that doesn't mean seek

the kingdom of God at the first.

that means seek the kingdom of God at the last

but the Bible give us the secret

and it says

the first thing that we need to seek

is the kingdom of God!

so, if you can make this changement in your life

how many things will be added to you

according to what the Bible says.

Now, we need to work in our faith

in a way that we can increase our faith!

in Luke 17:5 says

And the apostles said to the Lord,

"Increase our faith."

meaning that faith can be increased

how can I increase my faith?

that's a good question

I know what I can get by faith

but now I need to know how I can increase my faith?

because you can be facing many things in your life

that make you feel that you don't have faith

or your faith is too little.

maybe you are new in the path of God

and you have this passion about growing your faith

but you don't know how to do it

well let me give you two points about this:

the first one

listening to the word of God!

Romans 10:17 says

so the faith comes by hearing,

and hearing by the word of God.

when you hear the word of God

when you read to the word of God and you apply it

your faith increase

there is many challenges

that are gonna come in front of you during your life,

and when you are filled with the

presence of the Holy Spirit

and your heart is filled with the word of God

when the challenge comes

your faith is gonna be so strong

because the word of God

is gonna work in the situation that you are.

I remember one day when they kidnapped my brother

and I went home

my mom was alone

she called me

she told me come home

they kidnapped your brother

when I get to home

the phone rang

and I took the phone

but before I answer

I said Holy Spirit help me

and the Holy Spirit bring to my mind

or brought to my mind

a verse of the Bible that says

do not be scared

of what you're gonna speak in the day of the judgment

because my spirit will speak to you

that verse came to my mind

that I have read before

and it filled me with such a faith

that I took the phone

and I started to speak

not from fear

not from shy

not from terror

I start to

to speak from the power of God

but what would have happened

if I didn't know this verse?

imagine that I didn't know this verse

how the Holy Spirit will fill me with faith?

that's why the Bible says

that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God

so one of the things that you need to do

every day in your life

is read and listen to the word of God

the second tool that can help you

to increase your faith is to pray

and fasting

in Matthew 17

Jesus says to His disciple

that the demon in the boy

had not come out

because of their little faith

and that through fasting and prayer

they could acquire the necessary faith

to cast out that demon.

by fasting and prayer

we can consecrate our selves more

to the one in Whose presence unfolds faith

to see miracles.

so when you fast and you pray

your faith gets,

let me say it in this way,

your faith gets the vitamins

and the proteins to grow inside of your life.

so those are the two tools:

the first one is listening and reading the word of God

the second one is through prayer and fasting.

Now, last point: faith as a mustard seed.

the Bible speak about

the disciples that were talking to Jesus

telling Jesus to increase their faiths

and in Luke 17:6

look what it says:

if you have faith as a mustard seed

you can say to this

Mulberry tree,

'be pulled up by the roots

and be planting the sea,'

and it will obey you

now look the

the comparation that Jesus is doing here

if you have faith as a mustard seed

many people has talked about this

like if you have faith the size of a mustard seed

but Jesus is not speaking about

about these

what Jesus is sayind,

He is saying that if you have faith

similar to the way of believing that a mustard seed has

which is doesn't believe it's the smallest seeds

as others see it

but see itself at the greatest of the vegetables

let me tell you something

the mustard seed is one of the smallest seed

comparing to another seeds

but the mustard seed

doesn't

does not see itself as the smallest one

the mustard seed believe

that she can became one of the biggest tree

in all the trees

and that is what it does.

so when Jesus speak

and He says

if you have faith as a mustard seed,

Jesus is telling you

don't see yourself as the smallest one

you can become bigger

you can achieve great things

you can do awesome things

but do not see yourself as the smallest one

and when you start to see yourself as a person

that can achieve many things with Jesus

everything start to change in your life

and I'm gonna finish with this verse

Matthew 13:31-32

explains:

the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed,

which a man took and sowed in his field,

which indeed

is the least of all the seeds;

but when it is grown

it is greater than the herbs

and becomes a tree,

so that the birds of the air

come and nest in its branches.

what does that mean?

that mean that even if it's the smallest one

if you plant it, if you

if you feed it

with the word of God

it becomes one of the greatest tree

and the birds of the air come and nets in its branches.

you can be a person that can be a help

for the people that is around you!

you can be a person that can be the key

of success of your family!

you can be a person that can

be use by God to lift up people!

but you need to believe

that you are not the smallest one

in the hands of God.

In the hands of God

when God start to work with you

he can make you a big person

he can make you one of the bigger tree

and make people come to you

and you can help them. why?

because you are having faith in God!

so I'm gonna encourage you in this moment to have faith

for everything that God had put in your heart

I don't know if it's a dream

I don't know

if it's a circumstance that you need to overcome,

I don't know if it's a healing that you need,

I don't know if what you need is a miracle,

but I know that with faith

everything is possible!

believe and take actions

because God is ready to use you when you believe Him!
