All language subtitles for 02-Shorts Book = More Money

Now, as we're getting into the system,
one of the aspects I want to talk about

is why you want to produce shorter books.

Because shorter books equal more money.

This isn't about writing your life's
masterpiece.

This isn't your magnum opus for your
entire life.

Because the moment you start thinking
like that, that this has to be the

perfect book, it's going to be very
difficult to ever get started, and it's

going to be even more difficult to ever
finish.

So you're not trying to write one book
that changes the entire world, that will

shut down your creativity.

Instead, you're going to choose niche

topics, small problems that your ideal
clients face.

And you're going to write multiple books
that target these different topics, these

different problems.

So you're not trying to solve every one

of your clients problems in one book,
you're doing it across a series of.

Of books.

And when I talk about shorter books, I in

my mind I'm thinking of the hundred to a
hundred and fifty.

Pages now there are also Kindle short
reads that are one page, 20 pages, 50

pages, and those can work as well because
those can just as much build your

credibility. But when I'm really talking to the system

where it's been tested already is really
in that hundred to hundred and fifty page

range now that.

In many cases will mean about 25,000

thousand forty five thousand Words at two
hundred and fifty to three hundred Words

per page.
So 25,000 thousand to forty five thousand

Words to give you an example.

And I'm going to freely mention one of my

big glaring mistakes and that is my book
how to sell without selling had 117,000

thousand words in it.

Hundred and seventeen thousand Words,

that's three times the amount that I'm
telling you to have in your book.

And really if we take the 25,000 thousand
it's four times instead of having that as

one book, I would have been much better
off.

It would have been much more profitable
for me.

It would have been much more useful to
the end customers if I would have broken

that into three or four separate books.

It in some cases ended.

It meant it ended up getting a little
repetitive in the book.

I tried to cover too many different
things and it would have been much better

as a magnet for my business.

A much better self liquidating lead

generator for my business if it was three
or four separate books.

So don't make the same mistake that I
made.

Go with shorter books which equal more
leads and more money for you.

Now here's five more reasons that you
should write shorter books.

Many times when people think about a
book, it's too daunting.

It's too big of a project.

It's easier to finish your book if you

set a smaller, more realistic goal.

You don't make any money or attract any

leads until the book is finished.

Obviously, you can write a shorter book

faster than a longer one.

You can write 3 short books in less time

than it takes to write 1 long book.

And if you actually take that model, that

means if you were writing the one longer
book, it's going to take three times as

long to finish.

You could have already had one book out

there, two books out there, and
generating sales and leads for you by the

time the third book is done.

Here's another big benefit.

You can focus on specific keyword phrases
for each book on Amazon instead of trying

to go after a whole bunch of overly
competitive keywords and categories and

try to mix them all into one topic.

That makes it harder to sell your book

overall. That means each of your books can be more

specialized, go after very specific
keyword phrases, make more sales, and be

attracting leads from a whole bunch of
different keywords instead of 1 big book.

Your books cross sell each other.

Multiple books on similar topics that

sell to the same audience.

Multiply your sales and your exposure.

Remember the statistic I already talked
about earlier about 28 separate books for

the full time authors that were earning 6
figures or more.

The those books are cross selling each
other.

Having shorter books also means you can
use lower prices for your books to

increase the volume of sales.

And that results in more front end buyers

coming into your funnel.

So those are many reasons that we want to

use shorter books to generate more income
and more leads for a business.

Now you can find that there's a lot of
major authors who have a series of books

and we're talking a series of really good
books in the business as well.

Let's look at a few of these, and many of
these are from major publishers, so

they're going to be a little longer than
the books I'm talking about here of 100

to 150 pages.

A lot of these might be 200 pages or more

because they're coming out with major
publishers, but that doesn't really make

a difference here.

Let's actually look at a few of these as

examples. We've got Michael Matthews, who has the

muscle for life 10 book series, so he has
10 separate books.

And look at how he did this.

He did bigger, leaner, and stronger for

the male body.

He did thinner, leaner and stronger for

the female body.

So he separated the men and women into

different audiences and I'm sure much of
this information is the same.

He then has the chef, so he's got 125
recipes.

He's got workout motivation, he's got
beyond.

So this is the advanced part.

See, if we were making the mistake, he

might have tried to put just think he put
the men, the women and the advanced all

into one book.

Well, he's going to sell less books.

It's going to be harder for the customers
to get through.

And that's the topic that I didn't even
mentioned in the past.

When shorter books, customers can finish
faster and progress and implement and get

better results.

But this way he's separating them up and

people can go through the men, they can
go through the women or then they can go

on to the advanced as well.

He has cardio sucks, he has a one year

challenge. Basically it's the same type system again

but over 12 months.

He is the one year challenge for women

again separating it up.

So you can see he separated all these

type of books into a series.

Hopefully that gives you some ideas of

the type of series you could have as
well.

What about rich dad?
Poor dad?

He has 14 books in the series.

You have his basic parable story about

his rich dad and poor dad.

In the main book you then has have his

rich dad's guide to financial freedom.

You have the guide to investing and again

you might think, well, you know isn't
investing in the main topic no break them

out. Get specific in this becoming rich

without cutting up your credit cards,
turning bad debt into good debt, giving

your child a financial head start.

So this is for the children.

He's got the rich dad's prophecy about a
big stark market crash.

Retire young, retire rich, stay rich
forever.

So now he's hitting.

The retirement aspect is a separate

keyword phrase.
Who took my money why?

Slow investors lose and fast money wins.

We can see he has a book for teens before

you quit your job.

So this is about entrepreneurs.

So you can see all these different pieces
and how he's breaking them up into

separate topics.
Many mistake a lot of people would have

made is they would have tried to put
these all into one book.

Let's continue on.

What about Michael Gerber?

He has the E myth revisited.

He originally had the E myth.

And then you'll notice from the E myth,
from the one main concept, the one main

hook, he's went into all types of
different business niches with it.

For example, he has E myth mastery, he
has E myth contractor, the E myth

accountant, awaken the entrepreneur,
look, the E myth attorney, the E Myth,

Financial officer, the E myth look, HVAC,
contractor, real estate agent, real

estate investor, manager, veterinarian,
all separate books.

That he's niche down with the same core
concept.

So that's another way you could break it
apart.

Let's look at Dan Kennedy in his no BS
series.

The No BS sell success in the new
economy.

He's got success in the new Economy, 7
core strategies.

He's got wealth attraction in the new
economy.

He's got your pricing strategy.

Just so he has a whole book about

pricing, grassroots marketing he has.

Trust based marketing.

He has leading edge boomers and seniors.

He's got direct response brand building.

So you can see he broke all these
separate pieces that again somebody might

have tried to put into one book, but it's
much smarter to break them apart into an

entire series.
And as I talk about all these series,

don't get worried because you don't have
to do all this.

You don't have to plan all this out from
the beginning.

I'm just telling you to break the topics
up into shorter, more targeted books.

To target specific audiences and phrases
as you go along, what about the for

idiots books or the for dummies books?
They have hundreds of books on all

different topics that are separated up
all under one brand name.

That's amazing what they've been able to
do with it.

So those are all different types of
books.

And so dummies has over 2000 books just
in the Dummies series alone.

O those are, you're going to create a
series of books overtime for your

audience. Again, don't worry about it now because

you'll break them U and in one of the
other modules I'm about to show you how

to write faster and even how to create
books without writing.
