Addicts, terminally
ill patients... vets.

when they first come
to us, and gals.

How broken they are.

Next thing you know,
they're up and riding

and talking to everyone.

It's transformational.

He loves getting
his ears rubbed.

Most of our horses have
been abused or neglected,

so they're healing too.

- What is it that makes them so
suited to this type of work?

- Horses are prey animals.

So their natural
inclination

is to be scared
and protect themselves.

Just like the people
who come to us.

So they end up
recognizing each other

and helping each other
learn to heal and trust.

fun and games

but it's real work
