The runway theme this
week is tickled pink.

And, you know, as the phrase
goes, two in the pink and...

Well, actually, there's
seven of us in pink this week.

So, yeah, but two of us will stink
because we're going to be on the bottom.

Right.

- Got to put some makeup on me face.
- Hey, gorg.

- How are you?
- I'm good. Thank you.

- Are you excited for today's runway?
- Yeah.

- I'm seeing a pink triangle.
- Pink triangle.

- Is that what I think it is?
- References, references, reference.

Yes. That's the symbol
that they used to identify

- homosexuals in the Holocaust.
- Yeah, absolutely.

And then later, it was taken
by a lot of queer movements.

So, particularly, it was
used by the ACT UP movement.

- "Silence equals death" was their slogan.
- Yeah.

CHEDDAR: During the HIV
and AIDS crisis in the '80s,

the ACT UP movement took those symbols

that were used against us
and turned that into a symbol

of queer resistance.

I just wanted to, like, do a
little bit of a twist on pink, really.

The ACT UP movement did so many
kind of crazy out-there stunts

and made use of spectacle and gags

in order to draw attention
to social issues.

And they acted all over the world.

In Manchester, they would shoot condoms

over the wall of Strange ways Prison.

So it was these stunts
that drew attention to HIV

as an issue for everybody,
because at the time,

people were just regarding it as
something that gay men had to deal with.

The inaction of people
in power to do anything...

It's essentially the willful
genocide of queer people.

- Absolutely.
- That's what it was.

The governments at the time

were quite happy to just let people die.

You have people who were locked in wards.

You died alone.

You had people who were denied
basic medical care.

I know so many people
through drag and in the community

who are in their 50s.

And I'm like, why don't you
have friends of your own age?

Like, why do you hang out
with the young people?

And they're like, everyone I know died.

And if we had been born slightly
earlier, we would probably be dead, too.

Mm-hmm.

There are plenty of people
who do not live anymore

because people weren't willing
to talk openly about it.

I think our generation's very privileged,

because, like, I grew up
in an era where it seemed

to be something of the past.

- I was born into the era of HIV and AIDS.
- Yeah.

- Right? So I was born in the '80s...
- Yeah.

Just as the virus was really
taking hold among gay men.

- Yeah.
- And the fear around HIV and homophobia

became intertwined
to such an extreme level.

I grew up watching
adverts on the television,

of gravestones dropping.

I live with that legacy.

The idea that sex for me

- was linked to contagion and death...
- Yeah.

Is something
that's always remained with me.

I'm only 29, but that's how I felt.

- I felt like I'd never find love...
- Yeah.

And I was going to die alone and in pain.

What's always interesting for me now

is when people talk about
it being an issue of the past.

I know.

Because, obviously, yes,
the situation is so much better.

- The stigma is still there, for sure.
- The stigma is still there.

When it comes to life, dating,
people's ignorant attitudes,

still, people don't really
understand how HIV is contracted.

PrEP... when I started PrEP,

the feeling of realizing that my
sex life was not a death sentence...

Yeah.

It had a profound
psychological impact on me.

PrEP is a drug that you can take

which massively reduces
your chances of contracting HIV.

We have the opportunity
to end HIV for good.

Absolutely.

But we need to keep pushing
in order to do that.

Yeah.

A HIV-positive undetectable person

cannot transmit the virus.

When you are undetectable,
you are untransmissible.

We genuinely can eradicate HIV

and, with it, the stigma
associated to being positive.

bit of my HIV ambassador sermon.

There was nothing to hook any comedy on.

Maybe if you made him
quite conservative and boring,

so you are actually dressed like that,

but, actually, you're just
off the way to the library.

to be critiquing, not speed dating.

This presentation on the runway
was hilarious.

There were moments of Shirley
Bassey that didn't really go anywhere.

Diamonds don't need to be
polished. They just need to be enjoyed.

And there were funny moments, but

and she's just got that rich,
confident thing going on.

But it wasn't as confident as I
would have liked to have seen.

I had a conversation once
with her about a frying pan,

and she was like, you put
the frying pan on the stove,

and then it goes... [vocalizing]

And you know, it's like in Snatch Game,
you've just got to grab the attention,

and with that voice, you
would have really grabbed it.

Did you at any point think, uh-oh?

I think I got in my own way

and didn't allow myself to go as
big as I should have done, basically.

Now, you've seen this program.

Going over the top in Snatch Game

is really what the brief is all about.

But I love this outfit.

You look like a superstar in it,

amazing, but just really flat for me.

We've got a very dull,
sort of like a stunt double,

of Lil Nas X.

Wasn't very funny at all, but
I was kind of more enthralled

with the smooth-groove thing.

It didn't have objective,

and, unfortunately, Black Peppa
didn't take the advice,

MICHELLE: On the runway,
however, really well executed absurdity,

and I enjoyed that.

ALAN: And hey, there was
candy floss coming out of her hair.

- What's not to love?
- Mm.

RUPAUL: All right. Let's
move on down to Pixie Polite.

There's so many glimmering moments

that could have been really
good, but they all fell short.

And that's not like Pixie.

If you don't do the theatrics,
then, actually,

Pixie just looked like
a dowdy Welsh housewife.

I know that Pixie has the goods.

She's got funny bones.

But somehow, she felt confined
by Snatch Game.

The outfit, I have to say, I loved it.

MICHELLE: Pink is just made for her.

She looked great in it.

The proportions with
her body shape, fantastic.

But not a good night for her
in the Snatch Game.

Let's move on down to Cheddar Gorgeous.

I loved the look, the outfit,
the evil laugh.

Historical and hysterical.

You know, I knew Queen
Elizabeth before she was a first.

[laughter]

And she behaved exactly like that.

I knew it. RUPAUL: Yeah. Yeah.

We love when people bring
their cultures to the runway,

and tonight was one
