delicate balance

to allowing these
people to come to life

in a way where we began to see

not Al Pacino but
Michael Corleone.

something about that dinner

that always stood out to us

because you could see Coppola
and Ruddy sitting there

watching the dynamics of

He is a consummate pro.

Watching Matthew create
organically, take to take,

and his incredible range
as an actor,

but also having all of that
range fit so beautifully

inside of Robert Evans.

So dependable
as a scene partner.

Working with him did feel
like I was always being held.

He goes and watches
The Panic in Needle Park

and he sits in there with Ali.

Pacino doesn't
have to say a word

and I can't take
my eyes off him.

In the end, he's like, "Well,
he is actually really good,
this guy."

Which is wonderful, and then...
