We're taking a look at each dot net now.

8Chan, if you're not familiar with it, it's essentially a darker version of 4chan.

Whereas 4chan is a image board in message board that has a certain amount of info behind it.

So.

Getting into action, I do recommend a couple of things before we jump in and we'll be talking a little

bit more in depth about aging in a moment.

So before we go to H.A., I do have my virtual machine running boots scanner and I do I am running out

of a Tor browser.

There are some dangers in searching 8chan, especially depending on what you're looking for there,

especially if you're looking for a target who have 8chan member.

So we do want to make sure that we try to protect our our identity during our own investigation.

So again, I am running my virtual machine here.

It is a clean machine.

I have the Tor browser open and I ran a DNS leak test to make sure that it is in fact routing my information

properly hiding my identity.

So now that all that is taken care of, I'm over on eight Chan or eight see a dot net.

Now if we take a quick look here at Chan, welcome to 8chan.

The darkest reaches of the internet on 8chan, you can create your own image board for free with no

experience or programming knowledge needed.

So what that means is that anyone that has a little bit of computer savvy can create their own boards

on 8chan.

It's designed to not censor anything, essentially.

There's actually quite a bit of stuff on here that that has a lot of political, a lot of other dark

internet information on here.

It's not quite the darknet.

You could actually view this with a normal browser like could could actually pull up a Firefox, Chrome

or even a Microsoft Edge browser.

And I'm not using browsing through an onion site, but you do want to take a lot of precaution when

you go in.

And again, it can be a little dangerous.

Members of 8chan have been known to try to dox people, find out who they are posting information and

cause problems for people doing investigations.

And we even see on here warning some boards on each and might have content of adult or offensive nature

and essentially on 8chan.

They don't really censor anything anyone can post essentially anything which makes it a little dangerous

on both ends.

So on a Olson side, you again, you do want to take your precautions.

I would recommend running your virtual machine, make sure it's clean.

Run your DNS leak test on your Tor browser and make sure it's routing properly.

And don't post any anything that could tie back to you personally.

But again, depending on what you're looking for, you may find information on your target on here.

Again, H.A. has been known to post certain information on here.

It tends to be the, you know, some of the seedier part of the in it on here.

So depending on who's your target is, you may find information or you may find direct information on

your target through this website.

So if I scroll down here, we could see some basic tags here.

Keep scrolling down in here.

We could find fast reds here, and if I want to click on anything, I can just click on these links

here.

You could see the board and the replies and whatnot.

You can see recent threads, quality threads.

And there are quite a bit of offensive materials in here, so if you do want to exercise caution again

when you're browsing these forums, especially if browsing this at work, make sure you get authorization

to browse a sport and explain to them why you feel the need to search this sport.

And in here, if we keep scrolling down, we could see it find the search feature and we could start

doing, you know, typical searches.

I could put suicide crimes hacking, for example.

And I can just hit enter and I'll do a search from different boards.

And if you want to be a little bit more careful, you could do hide not safe for work boards meaning

and essentially try to hide anything with -- information on here.

So if I scroll down in here, we see hacking team hacking tools here, best hacking forums or phone

searching.

So sure, hacker, I may Typekit hacking is sort of taking a look at some of the information in here,

or if I have the hackers handle, I would maybe type that in.

Or if they were to lead to a certain breach that was given a name, I could type that and potentially

start looking through here and in here we find, like, you know, some.

Not so great topics here.

To be honest, like destroy this ever, OK, so let's click on here.

And give you an idea of what this board is like.

Information probably isn't.

Now, see, that's a little bit information, not too much, but you kind of get the idea here, so,

you know, blue hat hacking and hacking hacking tools here.

This looks like a song about the hacking team or might even be a member of the hacking team.

They're recruiting members for hacking group.

Anarchy, tutorials, chaos, so again, for the most part.

I tried to stay the agent unless I feel the direct need that maybe I'm going to find some direct information,

my target here.

So again, I did want to provide this as a as a resource for you.

Again, it's not the dark web searching for sake.

Even though the content on here might be comparable to the dark web, you can't actually use any browser

to search his site.

However, because of the nature of it, I do recommend taking precaution running through a VM, running

your Tor browser and run your DNS leak test.

Make sure that your DNS is me leaked.

If again, this is at work, make sure that you talk to whoever is in charge of at work to make sure

that you do have authorization to browse 8chan and let them know why.

And again, to to navigate 8chan.
