This video we're taking a look at the program in vivid and invit is actually a plug in for either Chrome

or Firefox.

Now the way it's designed is it's designed to help debunk fake news and verify videos and images, which,

if we're running investigation, can be really useful for us to to determine certain things.

Now, this is actually a free program, which is great.

And the website, if you want to take a look at is in video Dash Project Dot EU.

And on here, we could actually get quite a bit information in here we could download from whether Chrome

or Firefox, along with a lot of different details for the how the program works.

There are some really great tutorials on here and so forth, but we're going to take a really quick

look at how this actually works.

So again, if you go, here you go.

Go ahead and tools and services and you can go grab the.

The plug ins here it again for Chrome or Firefox, my personal preferences, Firefox, so if you click

on Firefox or Chrome, you could download the plug in for it.

So, IRA, you went ahead and download it, so I have my instance of Trace Labs Linux open here.

So I'm just going to go up here and open the folder and we're going to open folder and it's going to

go to downloads by default.

So this is what the file is going to look like, so if I right click here, I could do open with archive

manager.

And then you just simply click extract in oil extract file, and here it is.

So in order to import it into Firefox, you can simply right click on it and do open Firefox if that

option comes up.

If it doesn't, you want to do open with other application and then scroll down until you find Firefox

and click open.

And then you wouldn't allow it.

You click on Add and then you can always say, OK, hey, I got it.

I understand that it's installed and whatnot.

And now you're ready to go.

So let's take a look at this program works.

So here I have a photo of well.

Hitler apparently shaking hands with aliens.

So if we wanted to verify whether it is real or fake, we can again, this is a photo, obviously,

not a video, either.

You can go up here on this on this link here and you could do.

Opened in, we could open your URLs or images if we have the particular URL.

And if you do video, this is going to say, hey, there's no videos here, but if you do images in

your URL, it'll look through the page and try to find all the different images on there, and then

you can simply select what, whatever image you want to look at.

So since this is the only image here, I'm going to click on that image.

And then it opens up here, so great now we have our photo isolated.

So if I right click here, I could do this fake news debunker by invit we verify and we have a lot of

different tools in here.

So we can right off the bat, we could do reverse image searches on Google, Yandex, Bing to name Baidu

and Reddit.

So really cool right there that we can run all these different reverse image searches or we could do

a reverse search on all of them.

We could also do a image magnifier.

So if we run that, we can actually just kind of.

We could do the different filters in here, we could zoom in and take a closer look at if there's any

discrepancies that we could find on here.

Things like rough images, images were it got.

Copy and paste.

Maybe they erased part of the background.

We could see those variations in there.

The other thing we could do is the closest we get would click this and we could do forensic mode now

forensic mode is a pretty neat mode for this.

So once we load this in here, we do forensic mode and we can scroll down.

And here, here's our photo and we see all sorts of forensic analysis on it.

We can see double causation, we can see error level analysis.

The wavelet block.

We can see the median noise goes and what an et cetera.

So if you're not sure what you're looking at like, what's this wavelet mode?

What am I supposed to be looking at and how does this work?

What you can click on the law, I hear.

And I'll tell you exactly what it is.

Each image carries invisible high frequency noise that is a result of the capturing process as well

as compression.

And it goes on to kind of just describe what we're looking for and how this actually works.

So that's really cool that, you know, I don't have to go around and start looking up all this stuff

going, well, OK, I'm using this mode and I get this result in going back and forth.

You can just click the little I for any of these, and it'll give you the information of what, what,

how this actually works.

The other nice thing is, of course, we can click on tutorials and we can go through there really good

materials.

These stories are actually really nice, easy to follow along and you can go through that.

And they also have a classroom and they have an interactive mode, which is nice.

But again, this is a really cool tool for vetting different videos and photos.

And again, of course we could do we could do videos off of this when we close out here.

Actually, if we go here, we could do video and URLs.

So if I pull up a website, we can start pulling all the different information out if it has particular

videos on it.

So, again, really, really nice tool, it's free, easy to use Chrome, Firefox.
