Today is a very exciting day
for McLaren Racing,

and the start of our next chapter.

2020 was an outstanding year for us.

in the Constructors' Championship.

a new engine in the back of the car,

and now he has Daniel Ricciardo.

It's just this groundswell of positivity

towards one of the most successful teams
in Formula 1.

[Brown] Given that
we were third last year,

it's pretty important to us
that we finish third this year.

The difference between third and fourth

can ultimately mean
tens of millions of dollars.

Daniel's a very, very focused,
aggressive, uh, individual.

He's a killer in the race car.

[Ricciardo] I've always liked pressure
and, in a way, probably the spotlight.

I think, by the end of this season,
I do predict an array of podiums.

that parachuting in a race-winning driver,

of big-name signings,

that big-name being
their poster boy for the future,

but it just not working out.
